Rachel Reeves Under Fire: Career Claims Spark Controversy
At most the petition will force a discussion in parliament. Reeves was an economist. She was economical with the truth.😋 -

Marrying a Thai Wife: Overrated or Underrated?
Maybe, maybe not I always presume mixed couples are not married unless I can just tell by their mannerisms that they have been together forever and are married. You may not have been here long enough to identify the 'normal behavior'.... Thais are adept at it... Foreigners who spent time at here are adept at it... Spotting the following relationships.. - Monger + Ho (stick out like a sore thumb and look quite out of place in a normal setting) - Foreigner + Occupational Farang hunter (stands out - she's over selling her status) - Foreigner + Regular Woman (also obvious because they look so normal together). Obviously there are lots between those and the 'spectrum is far more faceted'... but those are the basics and newbies may struggle to tell one from the other. -

Methanol-Laced Illicit Alcohol: Fatal Poisoning Triggers Public Health Alert
Dangerous fake spirits claiming lives from methanol toxicity are sending shockwaves through our neighbouring country. Numerous victims have been hospitalised, with several fatalities reported following consumption of these unlawfully produced alcoholic beverages tainted with methanol. Deceptively harmless, methanol is a highly poisonous industrial substance finds its way into counterfeit or home distilled spirits. The symptoms of methanol poisoning start off mirroring typical alcohol-induced symptoms i.e. a woozy head or euphoric feeling. However, the impact of this toxic adulterant can swiftly escalate with consequences such as sight-impairment, respiratory difficulties, aggressive body spasms, the body becoming precariously acidic and even death. If one suspects methanol poisoning, it's crucial to seek immediate medical assistance. Managing methanol poisoning involves prompt, supportive medical attention. This often requires administering ethanol to slow the body's toxic processing of methanol. In several instances, hemodialysis becomes necessary to save lives by extracting the methanol and its harmful derivatives from the bloodstream. Despite these treatments, the urgency of the medical intervention determines the effectiveness and a chance for recovery. In light of these disturbing occurrences, authorities are sternly advising the public to exercise caution while procuring alcoholic beverages. Illegally distilled spirits, unproven liquors or uncertified herb-based concoctions should be eschewed. It is crucial to source alcohol only from regulated, trustworthy sources. Those experiencing any symptoms post-consumption of dubious alcohol must urgently seek medical help to ward off the possibility of irreversible health complications or worse, fatality. Russian Naval Ships Dock in Thailand for Indo-Pacific Diplomatic Mission
To give a wider, albeit different perspective about the toll of the Soviet–Afghan War (1979–1989) & the War in Afghanistan (2001–2021), refer to - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soviet%E2%80%93Afghan_War https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_in_Afghanistan_(2001%E2%80%932021) In the Soviet–Afghan War, it should be noted that it is estimated that the Soviets & the Mujahideen lost less than 100,000 fighters each killed in action. However, guestimates of civilian casualties (no-one will ever know) are – · Civilians killed ≈ 1-3million · Civilians wounded ≈3million · Civilians displaced externally ≈5million · Civilians displaced internally ≈2million In the War in Afghanistan (2001–2021), which lasted about twice as long, it is estimated that the Coalition lost less than 100,000 fighters, whilst the various Taliban, al Qaeda, ISIL & local Afghan groups lost over 55,000 fighters. Civilian casualties – · Civilians killed ≈ 70,000+ · Civilians wounded ≈200,000 Conclusion: The ones who got their bums booted were the civilians. Do not go to war with the Russians, or the Coalition, in Afghanistan. The ones who made a “killing” (pun intended) were the weapons manufacturers. Note that there is also a very lengthy Wikipedia site devoted to wars involving Russia, & a much shorter one for Thailand. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_wars_involving_Russia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_wars_involving_Thailand I cannot see the point of the Russian visit, who will “engage in joint naval exercises with other Indo-Pacific forces, focusing on enhancing regional security and strengthening maritime partnerships” in an endeavour to emphasize “the importance of maritime security and regional stability” when they are doing nothing of the kind in their Russo-Ukrainian War. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russo-Ukrainian_War It would seem to be a perfect example of hypocrisy at the international level.
