The police will focus their inspections on the areas linking Bangkok and its vicinities. Commander of the Metropolitan Police’s center of Child and women’s welfare, Colonel Suras Udomrat (สุรัศมิ์ อุดมรัตน์) said that Metropolitan police chief, Lieutenant-general Wiroj Jantarangsri (วิโรจน์ จันทรังษี) has ordered the officials to investigate the reports on prostitutions in vans, but the police still cannot establish whether the report is true. However, he said that the police will strictly inspect vans, especially in areas between Bangkok and adjacent provinces, such as Puttamonton (พุทธมณฑล) roads. He said that if it is found that prostitution does take place, the driver of the van will face charges. In addition, all police stations in Bangkok will designate their officials to patrol the areas where celebrations are held, beginning from 7PM to 10PM. The police will tell teenagers aged below 18 to go home. Motels, parks, and other meeting places of teen lovers will be inspected. He said that if any venues are found to violate the regulations, they will have to submit reports in defense of themselves. Their licenses may be suspended by 30 days or revoked permanently. Ricardo
Crack-down on mobile knocking-shops , whatever next ? It adds a whole new meaning to the VIP-Bus experience ! Could the police not just give these entrepreneurs some sort of award, for services to industry, or indeed servicing to politicians ?
