This post is clamouring for stupid replies, so I won't disappoint you :o Firstly, why do you want to know? Secondly are you going to apply for one, and worried about a dubious past?

You really need to be a little more specific..................

SOme embassies (Phnom Penh comes to mind, but there are others..Manila?) might only want to issue ONE time - to which they add a stamp saying something like "no more visas in Phnom Penh". One would be foolish to then go AGAIN, but they would not stamp MORE if you tried, probably just throw your passport back at ya!:o

Cheers!

hmmm...i must be very stupid, i don't understand how either of your questions are relevant to mine or why there is a need to be more specific.

it's a simple question asking for facts based on experience, rather than speculation or gossip, it requires no more information for a simple answer.

for example here is a fact based answer that is indirectly relevant:

back in the last '90's the US consulate in Lima Peru would mark Peruvian passports that had been denied visas. This was done to deter peruvians from getting visas to European countries and using that as a gateway to getting into the US. Consequently some European countries, like France would do the same and neither the US or France would grant tourist visas to a Peruvian with a denied visa stamp. I know tis because my aunt worked at the French consulate and she handled these kinds of things.

so back to the original simple question please:

has anyone had their passport marked after having a 60 day thai visa request denied?

thanks

I'm not aware of anyone having posted after being denied a tourist visa, most get TVs with no problems.

Plenty of posts regarding 'no more visas here' stamps, nobody has been dumb enough to go back after one of these stamps and try again (or at least nobody has admitted to it).

I too am interested as to why you need to know, unless you are expecting to be denied, however I don't believe that Thai embassies/consulates actually stamp your passport 'denied' although I do stand to be corrected on this point.
