I, along with many others missed the announcement.

I don,t usually look in the forum for this section on a regular basis as problems are very rare.

Credit for this is due to the people who maintain the system and as a consequence i find the running reliable most of the time so never check it out.

May i respectfully request an additional notice be put in the Thai News section as most members read this section daily, pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee George.

I for one was thinking the worst and thought the powers that be had shut us down for some infringement or other.

This is after all the best platform for our exchange of views and advice that we can get,

and credit where it is due, once again.

P.S. sorry if it was elsewhere and i missed it

Hi marsh bags,

Just wanted to mention that the announcement was up for at least a half day up above the top of any page, where the Tv.com banner is (with the sunbelt ads) ... but I don't belive it was supposed to go down for that long. I think that was accidental.

Thanks kayo, i was possibly off line during that time and missed it.

Perhaps if it is possible we could be given a little more notice unless it is an emergency, just in case of prolonged shut downs.

In any case i for one am not complaining and appreciate all actions that are done for the benefit of T.Visa.

We have to accept that things do not always go to plan in the real world.

Thanks again and i will keep my eyes open in future for further announcements. :o

This is the first time I've been able to even open the thai visa page let alone log in for the last week (have been trying every day!) ... wasn't sure if the website had shut down or it was some weird thing that I'm not in Thailand at the moment.

Anyhow, glad I can access it again!

Since the shutdown, I have been totally unable to access the FORUM index page. Portal OK. Can enter through topics (sent to my email), but never back to the main index!

Also, the exact same BROKEN behavior on forum TOPIC headings, such as Forum Support Desk, etc. Also, even on some specific topic clicks, but most of these are OK.

What is going on? Do you know about this? I am sure I am not the only one.

Message I get on Forum Index:

mySQL query error: SELECT * FROM ibf_topic_markers WHERE marker_member_id=1789

SQL error: Got error 134 from storage engine

SQL error code:

Date: Thursday 20th of July 2006 09:53:43 AM

Not quite. I have been getting this error message for DAYS. I just tried again, same error behavior. It has never worked since the maintenance messages. The only way into the forum is through a link to a TOPIC sent to my email. Even then, if I try to go back to the forum index or forum headings, same error page. Also, clicking to many of the topics also produces error pages. I can navigate by using the View New Posts link, hardly an optimal situation.

It is highly unlikely I would be the only one experiencing this.

thaiquila, could you reproduce the error on another computer, and confirm if still problems.

Same computer going to forum via proxy server: problem does not exist.
