OK went to BKK police HQ yesterday.

As from now NO back ground check need from Thailand for teachers.

BUT needed from persons own country if new teacher, new B visa from outside Thailand, new contract with new school, & teacher has no license.

Given a contact No at the Min of foreign affairs for the school if they get a problem over this

Sorry Paul,

But a problem in regard what?

Are you referring to problems for teachers already in positions who may have been told they need to get everything sent them checked and the kitchen sink etc when they don't?

Little slow noticing this one so apologies if not up to speed. Have several friends which it may interest.

This is for new B visas new contracts that need new B visas Teachers etc from ajoining countries.

If they say they want a Thai background check.

If U get a problem with the Embassy/Consulate Suan Plu.

Get your new school to contact that number which is the Ministry of foreign affairs BKK who can then contact the Embassy/consulate to spell it out to them.

Paul, I'm confused. By Suan Phlu, don't you mean the Immigration Police's headquarters in Bangkok, which is part of the Ministry of the Interior, not Foreign Affairs?

Yes Suan Plu is Immigration Police's headquarters.

But If you read the inital post you will see that the phone is Min of Foreign Affairs .

If you have problems with Embassies/Consulates Suan Plu Immigration Police over this background check in thailand from police HQ BKK.

ITS NOW NOT NEEDED THE PHONE NO IS MIN of FOREIGN AFFAIRS if U get problems with either the above.
