I have just spent some time in Cambodia doing some business for my Thai wife's uncles. They are both very wealthy Thai billionaires. I got the money transferred to my account so I could get the full amount in cash and unfortunately got drunk and visited the casinos. I fancy myself as a good gambler but now know otherwise. The bottom line is that I blew 7 million baht. I haven't a clue as what to do. I have two options - tell the truth and face death, losing my family, or forgiveness. Due to the nature of the business, I needed cash, so one alternative is to fake a robbery.

Can any of you blokes come up with any other ways out? 7 million is a lot of money for me but not that much for them.

Troll

You should have some cash, you were looking at getting a lexus recently or you could sell the 5000 rai of land that you claim to own...

I troll you not - we got a land rover instead and all with my wife's money, not mine.

yeah, best thing to do would be go and buy the cheapest shotgun you can find, drink a bottle of fire water and then blow your stupid brains out... cos you can bet your bottom dollar, that's what your former families' paid assasin will be doing quite shortly.

bottoms up... :o

Many of your posts have blasted those farangs who have married into the rural classes. Many of your posts lambast those farangs who do not understand Thai culture. Many of your posts advise us how to succeed as farangs in Thailand as you have done.

Now you post claiming to have got drunk and lost a fortune (2000 months' salary - by your own words). If this is not precisely the behaviour of a brainless peasant, I don't know what is. If your wife were an Isaan hooker, I think your chances of forgiveness would be far higher than from a well-armed, well-connected Bangkok business dynasty.

Good luck or good trolling, whatever your game is.

How big is 7 million in cash? I guess it doesn't fit in your pocket so how big a bag do you need to carry this?

Oh boy, you are soooooo screwed :o

I never gamble, seen too many suicides, broken families and wasted lifes...

They are both very wealthy Thai billionaires.

That's bad luck for you as they'll be able to afford a good quality hitman, not like the poorer Thai billionaires.

Like, the old Bay City Rollers song said - "Bye, Bye Baby, Bye, Bye".

Hope you kept enough of the 7 mill for a ticket out and the 700 hundred at the airport.

Divi.

700 now? Is nothing sacred?

You claim to be wealthy. What's the big deal.

Are you afraid of your hi/so wife? Does she consider you a useless vermin?

Bet you wish you had married a farm girl now, huh?

You'll get what's coming to you.

Tell your wife that you gambled the money away. She may want to save face by finding a way replace the money you lost.

I seen a old Kung-<deleted> movie where something like this happened and the guy who lost the money went to his uncle and offered himself as a personal servant to pay off the debt. Maybe you could consider throwing yourself at their feet and begging for mercy.

Another option is to have them send you 10 million more Baht, go back to that Casino and win back the 7 million and then some!

just tell the truth

any thai man will understand you: got really drunk, gambled your life savings -and maybe even visited a few hookers in the process.

standard procedure for thai men

oh, i forgot - youre farang and that means youre good only until the payments to family stop

oh well - glad im no gambler.
