Letting Outsiders Into Our World...

Recommended Posts

I happened to mention that I am using an expat website to assist me in my search for a suitable laptop when I was on the phone to my conservative father for the first time in ages, earlier on today.

He asked me what the website was but I was reluctant to tell him and explained that it was my world and that not everything I posted would be sensible enough or correctly spelled enough to win his approval and that with respect, I'd rather not - even though part of me would like him to see that I socialise with mostly intelligent and wise expats, I wouldn't want the subconscious restraint when posting of knowing that he may be looking in to see what I'm up to because it would be a good way of finding out about my life without having to 'lose face' and e-mail me.

Even this new avatar of mine he would find extremely childish.

Last year, I was seeing this single mother called Louise back home and it was the first time I'd been involved with an English girl for ages and I soon found that I wasn't attracted to her. (this was long before my current resurgence in affection for farang ladies. :D )

I had posted something about this here on ThaiVisa regarding the affect that Thailand has on ones attraction to farang females, and she had stumbled across it and been offended, maybe even quite hurt at what I'd typed even though I hadn't mentioned her name, and it wasn't until months later that I found out that this was the reason I hadn't heard from her for ages... I still can't remember exactly what I had said about my experience with her but I was annoyed to find out she'd been snooping, even though this is a public forum and not a diary.

She had actually been looking into coming over to visit. :o

Anyway boys and girls, I regretted ever logging on from the PC in her bedroom and showing her my avatar/username, as curiosity obviously got the better of her.

Is this general issue (Letting others into our world) something that has affected anybody else?

Incedentally, I had a great chat with my dad and he hadn't criticised me for once. :D

That was Louise 'bury me in a Y shaped coffin", right !? ! I remember you told us what an old scrubber she was.

She didn't find those flapshot photos of her that you sent round the Lads did she?

ps She isn't still reading this is she?

Stay at home in America, stop playing with yourself... you know it'll only bring hairs on your palms. When you are old enough to go on an airplane without an Unaccompanied Minor bag around your neck try coming here... by then with a little bit of luck they will have developed an ###### detector and you won't be allowed in.....

Scamp, we all were with you during the time you went with your Thai girl last year. So do us all a favour and post rellivant information or dont post anything, I 4 one am sick of your posts nowadays as we were really rooting for you before. So if you have nothing of significance to post then DO NOT POST.

Sorry , I may speak alone but thats the way I feel, this post is Tosh

Jesus, I thought it was an original and relevant topic to 'our' life here online.

No one asked you to follow me the first time so don't do it this time and moan that you're 'sick of my posts' on my 2nd day back.

If you have anything relevant to complain about you should PM a moderator.

Scamp you have to remember that we followed you, rooting for you, even on my part PRAYING that things would work out for you, so you cannot come back to the forum with Tosh like this and "Have tou ever felt about having a Farang Woman Again" YOUR CREDIBILITY IS DOWN THE BOG. i SUGGEST YOU TAKE A BIT OF TIME TO EVALUATE YOUR SITUATION BEFORE COMING UP WITH ANOTHER GENERAL TOPIC

I do not for one minute say I speak for all just Me.

Bit more anger like that and your'll have enough posts for the Bedlam forum ThaiPauly. :D

You know, I think you should post if you have something to contribute or not at all really. Ok, Scamps post are annoying sometimes, he does seem to think he's the world's greatest forum writer, but just don't read the topic if you don't like it, why get stressed out about it, it's just a forum for god's sake :o

"Let me not judge you", well you've screwed that one up at the first hurdle.

Where do you get the 20 something environment from?

I know exactly how you imagine me to be and you're off the mark big time - I've changed my avatar as I no longer feel comfortable here (I've been called a misogynist by Kat on another thread) and you're assuming again.

Do you think I'm a teacher living in Banglumpoo?

Do you think I have any western friends in Thailand who are under 30?

When you've calmed down, perhaps we can have a real chat.

I would have to say that the orig question was a fair type of question though.how many people here would tell all their friends and family "hey, look at my posts on TV"...bet there would be truck loads that wouldn't..

I think it is a pretty good topic Gentleman.

I wouldn't have a problem myself letting my parents or other family reading what I posted.

I wouldn't want people at work reading some of the things I post, but they may do as I use a computer at work, so they could log on as me.

BTW, does anyone know if I can stop my user name being shown if someone else did log on?

"hey, look at my posts on TV"

Why would anyone want to boast about their TV posts anyway?

Job Interview perhaps? .....nah.

Depends on the job..... :o

This is not personal Scamp, I am just upset with you really, I know and have read about your ex-lover, and followed it through thick and thiin and even contributed. there are a lot of people on this forum that do not know of you I DOI dont have anything to proove to anyone, I have made my pile and beleive you teach English, but whats the point of this post , I mean who can give you advice, you are just setting yourself up. I dont mean any disrepect, in fact I really respect you for what you did, but PLEASE think about your posts in future, otherwise you are open for admonishments from far more intelligent people than me. I am not for one minute saying I do not like you, in fact the opposite, I know where you are from and I FELT YOUR PAIN. What more can I say. I am just being HONEST

Best OF Luck Mate, Feinds are hard to find, enimeis are very eay to find. PM me if you want to be freinds

Um, nowhere in Mr.Scamp's post stated that he needed advice. He just remarked that he'd prefer not having friends and family come to the website and see all he's said in his posts, and asks if anybody else in ThaiVisa felt the same. I certainly agree with him, as it is a matter of ones privacy. It doesn't really matter what your parents are like, how old you are, or how you live your life, you should be able to express your views on forum without wondering if anybody you associate with is reading them.
