He is in complete denial, liar about numbers and want to see his interview surveys that he is not doing… a bad experience is told to 10 friends…once these blind Asian golf packages end in March, the numbers will drop significantly thailand has had 2 days since the first of the year under 50….most over 100 and recently over 150 meaning last 2 weeks if he was educated on facts, WHO recommends under 25….thailand own artificial number (not based on science) but on marketing is under 50 which CM doesn’t meet 95% of the time between Feb and May lsst year was an aberration…why? Because it rained a lot during this time frame… The current gov policy is to rely on rain to clear the air…just pathetic

Swedish man suspected of running sex network in Thailand
cardinalblue replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
How does he gets access to the children and the getting the children to do behavior? there must be scouts with boots on the ground? His Thai is that good if manipulating directly? Or is he selling images that he bought from middle men? can’t imagine he doesn’t have extensive Thai connections or access to networks? -

The only solution to CM’s air pollution is rain…after the rare of 2 consecutive nights, the AP has returned with vengeance after 4 days of under 100… my advice to CM tourists is ONLY come between June and December…even Dec is starting to become AP the other 5 months are an embarrassment -

Enjoying the air? It’s hitting 300 ppm today….challenging for worst in the world and you live there… at least you don’t die of old age…COD will be clear or should say smokey… -
Darwinism at work… people say Thais regret their actions later….if that is the case then why do these same events continue to happen every day? there is no lessons learned nor action plans developed to prevent these bad driving behaviors… waiting for the next mini van or bus crash where 8-20 more victims die… gov and community groups are either incompetent or just too lazy to properly resolve these issues b/c 1. Costs 2. Try to change human behavior in the Thai culture is virtually impossible b/c of an attitude and a lack of willingness to change and 3. Just don’t care about safety

Bill Heinecke: "Crazy to give vaccines to tourists"
cardinalblue replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
For people who want to travel, hard to believe they can’t get vaccines in their own country… most travelers prefer to be vaccinated prior to traveling and do what is necessary to get vaccinated b/f traveling… I don’t see a huge demand for it…China? -

For safety, downhill cycling banned in Doi Inthanon National Park
cardinalblue replied to webfact's topic in Chiang Mai News
I wonder how many cyclists compare to motorcyclists on the mountain? 1/10, 1/100th something in between? Low hanging fruit basically, it’s will kill the recreational cyclist market who are doing day or overnight trips on the Mtn…people are not going to pay extra or inconvenience friends for sag wagons…I can’t imagine a heavy cyclist volume to start with? trying to give the image of safety or make up for the 29 preventable deaths on an I’ll-prepared ship? if the roads are going to be slick or wet, maybe require a PFD on the uphill portion and generate a vendor market at the bottom? 500B to rent? I don’t think thailand has any law requires cyclists to mandatory wear bike helmets? Wouldn’t that be more practical and let the decision- making up to the rider? -
Royal Thai Navy confirms bodies of 3 more crew members recovered
cardinalblue replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Why in the photo inside a room are they wearing PFDs? The horse is already out of the barn they are not following what their admiral said “with or without PFDs, they don’t impact the rate of survival” That quite alone pretty much sums up the cultural attitude of why safety is not a priority nor important in planning, preparation or operations…. they get exactly what they should deserve/consequences whether on roads, waterways, train crossings or nightclubs/buildings/construction sites…. safety is a strictly a cost and we ain’t going to invest in it…we will go with fate as it reinforces the old slogan of “life is cheap in Asia”.
