  1. 55-45 is a pretty big difference.
  2. A shrink might be a good idea.
  3. Tell that to the residents of the flooded areas.
  4. The taxi's in the official taxi rank HAVE to use the meter. Asking for a price is just not smart and the haggling (which will cost you more than the meter) gets you later to your destination.
  5. They have that meter for a reason, let them use it and you bay a lot less.
  6. Nakon Si Thamarrat Doesn't tell you why they are looking for such a person though.
  7. What are you on about? The law is very clear, you just don't want to accept it.
  8. She should go to the Labor Office as I said earlier. Immigration (something completely different as emigration) is about visas, not about working and their opinion is as important as that from the dentist. When the police detects you are working illegally, Immigration officers will escort you out of the country. People from the Labor office decide and Labor things. Thinks the confused emoticon says more about you not wanting to listen and trying to understand. (they weren't mine btw).
  9. From your own link: " The foreigner is not allowed to have any form of joint ownership of land, and the land acquired throughout the marriage cannot become the marital property of the couple but can be the personal property of the Thai spouse. The Thai spouse has the responsibility of managing personal property and can sell or do anything with the property without the consent of the partner."
  10. The Labor Law doesn't have separate rules for "paid professional work, with personal property home maintenance and daily routines." You own no land during your marriage.
  11. No, first it isn't your land but your wife's and secondly: Prohibited jobs for foreigners in Thailand | Thaiger (thethaiger.com) What jobs can’t foreigners do Thailand has a list of restricted jobs for foreigners, often called the “reserved occupation” list. These jobs are protected for Thai nationals to avoid competition in fields that don’t require specialised foreign expertise. Some of these include: Manual labour: Anything involving construction, carpentry, or factory work. Agriculture: Farming, animal husbandry, forestry, or fishing are restricted. Retail and trading: Owning or managing a small retail shop or working as a market vendor is off-limits. Artisan and craft jobs: Jobs like woodworking, hairdressing, goldsmithing, and sculpture are reserved for Thai nationals. Driving: Driving jobs, including taxi driving or truck driving, are not allowed for foreigners.
  12. The Labor Law is very clear.
  13. Sure, blame the victim, the shop owner who loses money because of these lowlifes.
  14. Why, he had 82 to years to find out it shouldn't be done and make some money for himself.
  15. Sure, they need to spend time and pay for a lawyer every time some muppet steals something. A shop lifter has done something wrong,
  16. Don't think so, not everybody is a poor bugger.
  17. The cocaine in the UK is certainly not home grown.
  18. Rogan says, .... The man knows his martial arts and that is it.
  19. You might need to get clarification on where in Buriram, some say they live there but it could actually be in the middle of nowhere quite a distance from the city. Do you have a 4 wheel drive? Maybe your wife can help asking directions during the trip.
  20. Happened before Covid many times already.
  21. You should ask the Labor office for starters and not immigration. the Labor law says you need a work permit for any work and you won't get one with a retirement visa. then you have the list of work which you aren't allowed to do anyway.
  22. Go see a vet.
  23. I doubt you can use a recording device in court, and it won't know how court etiquette works.
  24. Here some info: The Small Claims Court In Thailand | Acclime Thailand and here: Civil Case Preparation in Thailand | Siam Legal International (siam-legal.com)
