Thai Workers Are A Joke
FritsSikkink replied to Brewster67's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
I am fairly sure that you know all the bar stool stuff. I work here for a multinational as a manager and have way more experience in these matters than you. Started to come here 40 years ago and speak Thai. What about you? -
Thai Workers Are A Joke
FritsSikkink replied to Brewster67's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
You had a bad experience and claim ALL Thai workers are a joke. Incredible stupid conclusion as there are loads of very capable Thai workers and I know a lot of them. -
The article doesn't say that, is says that you have to file the current one and the 29 advance returns at the same time AND pay tax on All of them 1 year later.

Register divorce in Thailand or writing a will ?
FritsSikkink replied to North's topic in Marriage and Divorce
If you are still registered as married in Thailand, I doubt your will can overwrite the rights of your "wife" Getting your marriage nullified first in Thailand and then make a will for your girlfriend.- 1 reply

There are several options: 1) People from a country with a DTA, don't have to declare at all. 2) People from a country with a DTA, do have to declare but tic a box "not applicable because of DTA". 3) People from a country with a DTA, do have to declare but can deduct tax being paid in the other country. This would need a change to the tax form. They can't deduct any tax beforehand as they don't know any deductibles involved. So this would mean that people might have to pay a considerable amount of tax after their tax filling has been audited.

Could be a nice earner for the government as there are quite a lot of people doing this. From the article: "Violators of this law face severe repercussions, including imprisonment for up to three years or fines ranging from 100,000 to 1 million baht. Moreover, daily fines between 10,000 and 50,000 baht could be levied until the infringement ends."
