I have two passports. Arriving in a country on one passport and leaving on the other passport is not usually a problem, I have done it many times to avoid long immigration queues. Eg. arriving in the UK where there are mobs of people in the slow moving foreign line, and usually many people of colour who seem to get closer inspections, I usually go in on a my second passport. I don't think it is illegal. I haven't done it in Thailand. Here, they mark your incoming passport with a date mark that indicates your max possible length of stay. If you try to go out on a different passport you will not have this date mark that verifies that you have not overstayed. I think in Thailand if you use this strategy, your son will have to explain the situation to the I/O. My experience of the officers is that they will not be too understanding but presumably your son can speak Thai. The other thing that occurs to me, is that someone once told me that children over a certain age (16 I was told) are not allowed dual nationality and must pick one.

The surge in unemployment in 2020 as anyone who reads the news knows was caused by COVID lockdowns and furloughs. Biden arrived in Jan 2021, when unemployment had dropped from 15 million plus in 2020 down to 6 million +. Unemployment then returned to normal ie under 4 million gradually over 2021 as furlough folk went back to work. It stayed below 4 million for most of Biden's flawed reign and is now back above 4 million. Show us on the chart where in the Trump years prior prior to the COVID lockdown and furloughs unemployment exceeded 4 million.

Actually no...I think do-nothing Srettha is the Thai equivalent of Kamala Harris. Then again, Prayut, inherited a much stronger economy from Yingluck that Srettha has from Prayut. My limit is 30K per transaction. If you want more you have to take your card out and start a new transaction then you can take out another 30K. Become non resident for taxes. Get out of Thailand for 186 days a year (179 days or less resident means non-resident for taxes and no tax to pay). It sounds as though you bring over 3 million baht or so a year, so buying somewhere else and spending less time in Thailand is legal and might save you some money.

My view is that it is a dirty place. Most hotels I do not wish to sleep in and so end up paying 3000 baht a night for a nights sleep. I am allergic to other people's dirt. I'm truly shocked at how widespread this fetish for young children really is. Newscasters, celebrities, footballers, politicians, priests, and presumably judges....it's all over the world. I was reading elsewhere (today's UK Indy) about Huw Edwards who used to read the BBC news and is still on the payroll at half a million a year. He was done for 'making indecent images of children' which makes you think that he made images of children or paid people to make indecent videos.....but that is not the case at all.....his phone received some 400 or so indecent images of children, of which 17 were in Category 1 the worst category. He has pleaded guilty but in fact you do not have to even open the image for it to be a crime, even if you are on some distribution list that someone sends out randomly. The public really need to know exactly what the law is and the crime to have it explained as to why the wording of this crime, doesn't reflect the actual crime. And when I think back some police officer was charged with porn or child offences some time back. She simply opened a picture from her sister that had an image the prosecutor deemed indecent (which is another word that has a vague meaning). I'm all for actual molesters getting banged up for long times....I'm not sure that Huw Edwards crime falls into the same category, but he is facing 10 years in the slammer apparently....which to me seems bit steep for having 17 or so grossly indecent images out of 400 stored on his phone. Having said that I have always liked Huw and thought he was the best of the best. This news about him shocks me more than Jimmy Saville. I always thought Saville was a prick.
