How much do you fear "THE" Big C?
retarius replied to GammaGlobulin's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Ummmmm I think I will die of a nuclear winter caused by nuclear explosions around the world. To be honest I'd like to get it over with quicker and die in the explosions themselves....I rather like mushrooms. -
Outrage in Thailand: Boy Claims to Be Buddha’s Son in Bizarre Scam

Clearly not fake news or misinformation. -
There was a limit to how many lives could be lost in the Donbass to nazi shelling. Putin had to act and he did so decisively but with total obedience to the rules of war. Ukraine will have an embarrassing time next month at the peace conference asking folk to sign on to Zelensky's peace plan in which Russia totally capitulates and surrenders to Ukraine. One to look forward to.....watch the cancellations come flying in.

Yes the lazy way to be informed.....western English language propaganda....from the BBC, CNN and other slimy unreliable sources. Now we will have AI to up the ante of how well Ukraine is doing. The best thing to do is to read the propaganda, totally discard it, then wait a few days to find out how the front line has moved. The Ukrainian terror campaign with all of its attendant hoohah, reflects little, the terror attacks are pinpricks without strategic relevance, but bolster the spirits of the know-littles. What are this crowd going to do when Ukraine sues for peace next month as it dawns on their silly season 'peace conference that Ukraine is losing badly and even the untrained recruits at the front line are unable to save the day.

Thailand Unveils 10-Year Visa to Attract Top Global Talent
retarius replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Why try to attract 'talent' when you don't list to anything a foreigner says? -
I hope it is Tulsi Gabbard

I have taken it. Outstandingly effective, I lost a lot of weight and my fasting blood sugars improved along with my longer term blood sugar, HbA1C levels. What I found is that it makes me feel profoundly nauseous and not really wanting to eat anything. I went from 94 to 80 KG in 3 months. I used the two lower dosages because I was unable to tolerate the higher dosage levels. Now the downside: When I stopped taking it, I immediately put all the weight back on and then some. I went from 80kg to 96kg in 2 months....hungry all the time and nothing would help the cravings.

Bang Kruai District Faces Risk as Chao Phraya River Embankment Collapses
retarius replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Built in 2009. Well I guess it's too late to find out where all the money went. -
I find the insurance policies in Thailand don't meet my needs at all, and are generally rip offs. I have a slew of illnesses and insurance winds up covering none of my illnesses, so I self insure. I have a US$ 400K investment off-shore in the event of health emergencies and I have a living will in Thai and English prepared to prevent, if at all possible, all the blatantly useless surgeries that private hospitals perform at the end of life. It spells out I wish to die at home in my own bed. I also have a contract with the lawyer who drafted it to visit the hospital to try to ensure that my wishes are carried out....and he's a bit of a bastard to be honest which is why I picked him. In addition between my wife and I we have about US$1 million in assets here in Thailand but I wish to avoid using this for my health costs. This sum for my wife to live on after I die.

Trump Criticizes Biden's Stance on Israeli Weapons
retarius replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Wake up Trump, there is a glaring big hole in your policies that will cost you in the election. Your support for Israel in spite of the many atrocities Israel has committed has placed you on the wrong side of history. I certainly won;t be turning out to vote for someone who ignores facts and fawns on Israel. -
Mother Exposes Phoney Facebook Adoption Ring Using Her Children's Photos
retarius replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Sad, one cannot trust anything these days. I used to be much more trusting, now I assume everyone I meet, hear about or read about is lying about everything. This applies especially to politicians where I cannot remember the last time I heard a politician tell the truth, but it applies to anyone selling anything at all, including doctors, journalists, priests, nuns, friends, people I meet while travelling or on the street, authors, business people, bankers or the internet. No one seems to be able to tell the truth about anything these days including AI generated crap. I cannot get my wife to stop buying stuff from the TV or the internet, all with outrageous claims that they never ever fulfill. -
Unchecked Migration Threatens Britain's Social Fabric
retarius replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Immigration is great......when the immigrants assimilate into the culture of the hosting nation and start to share the ethnicity. Sadly, too many Muslims, Afghans, East Europeans, Pakistanis and Africans don't come to Britain to assimilate....they come to stay totally separate from the host nation, not even learning the language. They come determined to maintain their own way of living and ethnicity and demand that the host nation change its laws to accommodate them. I'm sure there is no one of my age who was living in Britain at the time, who doesn't remember the howls of protest and demands for special privileges from the Sikh community when Britain introduced the helmet law. Sorry, don't come to a host nation and demand they change the laws for you. This is an example of the deeper issue of non-integration of certain groups. Europe is flooded with 'victims' at the moment all seeking special treatment (privilege) for their group. My attitude is that by all means come to Britain but integrate and learn the language. No illegals arriving on boats thank you. No fake asylum seekers. No benefits until you have had a job and paid in for two years. I would add, no single men/. Any single male fleeing a war, should be sent back to fight for his country.- 145 replies

Anutin Joins PM in Pot Stand, Urges Arrests of Foreigners
