  1. Seems like the OP has a problem with committing an offence and having to pay, it does seem a bit hypercritical in Thailand as yes there is corruption but if you commit an offence and are in the wrong place at the wrong time you will get fined.

My suggestion is if you dont like the system here in Thailand go home where you will only get fined without any tea money of corruption but the chances are it will be 10 fold the amount and dont forget all those points and insurance increase.

  2. It was quite a poor parade to be fair, who ever was at the back was letting the cars and bikes through and you know Baht buses dont stop for such a thing and were nudging their way past the parade almost pushing the bands off the road.

  3. Ah I see its the anyone who appreciates Canterbury Tales Cafe and says good things about the place must be the owner pretending to be someone else, maybe the fact that the rooms are always full the cafe is very busy and the bookshop has a steady flow all day says it all.

Good service all round and the proof is in the success of Canterbury Tales breeds jealousy in the few failed businesses in the vicinity.

You really should try harder on your life than stabbing other people in the back, it may just come back and bite you in your ass one day.

  4. Soi Buakow is a great place to visit if you want to see fat old expats in their cut-off t-shirts drinking gallons of cheap bear chang draft. ewwwwww

    Cant drink a bear..........

  5. Just a quick hello,I've been living in Thailand for the last 4 years.

I've been a member of other pattaya forums but got so bored with the <deleted> and bullshit on them I thought I'd come here and see if it's any more interesting and informative than the other pattaya based forums.

    Hopefully it will be ?

So hopefully your not going to continue posting your <deleted> and bullshit on here then.

  6. I recently purchased 3 new books all about 350baht in Asia books, latest titles by Lee Child, Stephen Leather and Martina Cole, as they still had the labels on and were 160/180 baht in Canterbury Tales plus I get back 50% of that when I have finished with them.post-101635-0-99833100-1299638824_thumb.post-101635-0-86707700-1299638864_thumb.post-101635-0-07522400-1299638922_thumb.

  7. Patel.

Sorry I must disagree as I use the charity bookshop often but struggle to find what I desire, they have a lot of old stuff and so many lady author books its very hit and miss, by far the best stocked, cheapest for new and as new books on all subjects is Canterbury Tales Bookshop in soi Chaiyapoon.

Google them for map and website, they offer the best trade in on books from anywhere else too.

  8. I have come to Thailand, I dont go round looking at things to complain about, I realised this is Thailand and its how the Thai people do it and because I have lived in the UK for years does not make it wrong how they do things here.

I accept just about everything I see in Thailand and dont want attention by complaining and wanting to change or run their country, get used to these petty little things because mostly it will be like it weather you like it or not.

  9. JING....Quote, subtle reserved smiles of course and also kind of like, this is our place now, we've claimed it. you wrote, mate its all in your mind, they are tourists just like any other, a few Russian language signs about and they are taking over, what rubbish.

Thailand has realised there are more tourists than just single men and are trying to encourage them that's why Jomtien has many because is more family friendly and nicer beaches, they are not taking over just because there are a few Russian bars/Restaurants.

  10. Miserable sods, its the biggest Carnival time in Thailand and great fun, go on go and watch Coronation street, leave the fun to fun people.post-101635-0-65459300-1298910906_thumb.

I guess you believe all the young thai lads love your being here and stealing [for loads a cash] the girls.

If so you will not believe that they are filling their water guns with sewerage, urine, and anything wet and nasty...For your benefit.

Sorry mate but thats as bigger load of crap that I have heard for a long time.

  11. Pattaya.

I stay at Canterbury Tales Cafe and Bookshop, great location, plenty of tourists and ex-pats like me as regulars, more books than you could read in 5 lifetimes, used books and all the Thailand reads.

I know the website is down now as Dave the owner is having it revamped but he has rooms in your price range and good rooms too, pm me for his email address as I am not sure if I can add it here and he will I am sure reply to you.

  12. What about a nice Codo in Jomtien, you can buy it in your name, close to the beach, nice beech too, not far from the City and plenty to do, Golf, shopping, chill out.

Only a couple hours from koh samet Island, lovely there, 2 hours from BKK.

Just a thought, I like BKK but the traffic/pollution would always drive me away from living there, the suburbs not too bad but no beach and sea air.
