Wise THB Balance and THB Jar question
MJCM replied to MJCM's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
I know, but I prefer to use my Wise THB Balance and THB Jar (like to keep the Balance in my Thai Bank accounts under 1 Million THB (800.000 THB already taken by FD for immigration)) -
That is a good word for this cluster f.c.u.k. What I am doing is just be out of the country long enough to (for 2024) not be classified as a Tax Resident (less then 180 days in the country in the whole year). And will think again what to do after this all clears up or there is more certainty. (Need to go back to my home country any way ???? )

I tend to agree, but for computers nowadays it's not that difficult to link name, visa status and amount withdrawn over a year from an ATM (with an overseas ATM card) together that is just linking database together. Also bringing in Cash is not that safe as you need to exchange it and when exchanging it, what do they need? Your Id (passport)

I think that is what worries most of the Expats, because it's now clear as mud. I for one, will only, for the foreseeable future (at least 2024), stay in Thailand (less then) 180 Days in a year and the rest in Europe and travelling with the Thai Wife. Extension of Stay here will keep it alive for now.

What I like about ZZ Top is that (AFAIK) most of their songs are credited to all members of ZZ Top (Frank Beard, Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill) and not just the one (or two) member (like you see with other bands), so they share equally the royalty cut (that is real friendship which in their case goes back a long long time) Edit: More details about that picture https://www.texasmonthly.com/arts-entertainment/billy-gibbons-on-the-zee-zee-top-prom-photo/ (Picture taken around May 1970 so around 53 years ago) -

ERC approves new tariff, reducing Thailand’s electricity costs
MJCM replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Correct, Afaik the rates will be the same only the top rate will be lowered (but we have to wait and see as always) But the clue for people who don't use a lot in that Post is this. So instead of paying 0,66 THB per Unit extra it will be lowered to 0,2048 THB. So for example if you use 100 Units, with Ft 0,66 (it's actually 0,6689 at the moment) you paid 100 x 0,66890 = 66,89 THB extra. With the lowered Ft you would only pay 100 x 0,2048 = 20,48 THB extra. And not long ago the Ft rate was 0,98270 (so almost 1 THB extra per unit) (but there was a discount structure in place especially for the people who used LESS then 300 UNITS) -

Yep it's a sliding scale These are the old prices. First 150 kWh. ( 0 – 150 th) 3.2484 THB per kWh Next 250 kWh. ( 151 st – 400 th) 4.2218 THB per kWh Over 400 kWh. ( 401 st and over) 4.4217 THB per kWh And do please NOTE these prices are exclusive of Ft (Fuel Surcharge), VAT, and Service Charge. At 3.5THB per unit how much electric did you use then? Not a lot I guess -

Sorry for my ignorance, but is the difference in V in the cells not solved by Balancing them? Or does charging solve that as well? -

Sofar On-Grid Inverter firmware updates. Any luck?
MJCM replied to MJCM's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
We (not really us) have solved the Ghost Export. Someone (who I have to thank again for his brilliant idea) has send me a PM. His PM was so simple that it was brilliant. In it said We have such a location as we have a GRID CU and a separate House/Solar CU. The CT is connected to the cable that connects to the House/Solar CU. Everything that is connected to the Grid CU will directly draw from the GRID. Now we also placed a Power socket in to the box that houses the GRID CU, so for example to connect a Welding machine and it will then draw from the GRID and not from Solar. After reading that PM, I connected 1 Fan to that socket, on Speed #1 the meter was still going backwards, on #2 also, and also on Speed setting #3 although again ever SO slowly. We then connected another Fan to it, and after we set it to Speed #2 the meter finally went FORWARD. So now when we go away we will have 2 fans running (I will put them on a timer so they start running at 6:15am and stop at around 6pm.) so the meter reader doesn't see the meter going backwards so Suc6 ???? Now I am looking for a Device (approx 100W max) that does something for example an ice-maker, but the problem with an ice-maker would be that it needs attention, water empty ice cubes full etc etc and it will stop producing (using electric). Any ideas?? -
