  1. What I have read about thus far (could be totally wrong) is that they lay their eggs in the RICE, so if you freeze the rice, you kill the insects and also their eggs. The insects will wash out when you wash the rice but you still will eat the eggs together with the rice (cooked that is)
  2. Thx appreciated. I will look better next time, but this was the first time I needed to buy rice as we normally get the white rice from the BIL. My wife only buys that "Red" rice in bags from a grocery store to mix with the normal white rice. I already messaged my wife to bring back rice when she is done at the Funeral (2 days hopefully)
  3. This was bought from a grocery store in a plastic sealed bag.
  4. Read the OP please, bag is already opened
  5. Good idea as well, going to try that immediately
  6. No we usually don't use it up that quickly. I will try it with a new bag leave it in the fridge for a day or 2 and see what that brings. Problem is that you can't even see the rice in the bag I bought, so it's pot luck. But will look for another bag / brand where I can see the rice and see if it has those <.....> in them.
  7. Good idea. How long do you leave them in the freezer?
  8. I have totally run out of rice so that is a good idea. Normally we get the Rice from the BIL (his rice doesn't have any of those insects (it seems)) but as they are very busy with the Funeral so I didn't want to bother them. I will use a bit of the rice for daily cooking and dispose of the rest and in 2 days (I hope) will get fresh rice of the BIL Yes our rice is kept in a Air tight container. Thx for the advice, appreciated.
  9. You clearly did not read the last line of the OP??
  10. As my wife is not at home and we (I) have run out of rice I just bought a kg Bag of rice at a grocery store. Normally we get the rice from the BIL but as they are very busy with the Funeral of the FIL I thought not to disturb them. Oke so I bought this rice, and when I poured it in the container I saw all those small black insects in it. How to get rid of those insects? And can you still eat the rice? TiA Ps: Just leave them in and cook them with the rice (for extra vitamins) is not an option ????
  11. A bit related, does this, that Private Relay is not available in Thailand, affect the hide your email functionality. I am now using simplelogin.io but looking to switch to the one in iCloud?
  12. That is not the Official Rate but a rate what the Condo charges. (some condo's / apartments even charge 8 THB / kWh), if you get your OWN PEA / MEA meter then the rate will be much lower.
  13. i for one wouldn’t drive a Car with a MS OS, there you are driving leisurely on the motorway and then suddenly a BSOD (Blue screen of Death) out of nowhere

Yes via the Audio button, on MONO 29 channel most of the movies have Dual language. edit: you should be able to change it also in the menus of the receiver via the Menu button and then somewhere in settings (the location depends on the receiver) so that English is the default language (if it is available)
  15. I guess some other members will only start considering an EV when there are as many chargers as there are petrol stations
  16. so the questions of the OP after this remark Are totally irrelevant? So your advice to the OP is, don’t buy an EV and don’t go with solar and stay with your Vios for as long as possible?
  17. What about this to prevent range anxiety? ????
  18. This will IMHO change now Tesla has entered the market here. But just see how many Tesla Super chargers there are in any European country and wait till 2024 and see how many there will be in Thailand in a matter of a year. In Europe for example, No problem to go from the top of Germany to the bottom of Spain without having range anxiety. But If they (Tesla) open their charging network to others that remains to be seen.
  19. Purchase the EV yes a lot of money but so is an ICE. but we can power our house (during the day only) and charge my car with only 10 Solar Panels and an Inverter. Oke I went a bit overboard on the cables etc but you could get that (the Solar install) for way less then 100k (Note #1: This for our Situation, maybe the OP has 4 aircons and a pump for his Swimming Pool and then our setup is totally inadequate) (Note #2: Our setup is WITHOUT Batteries so only charging when the sun shines) If you don't drive lots and lots (like we do) and only short distances (up to 100km return (like we do)) an EV makes totally sense for us. Charge slowly at home and if we need to go further EV chargers are coming on strong. Why does these kind of pictures springs to mind in these kind of discussions? ????
  20. Next time when giving your email address use a UNIQUE one so that you definitely know who the culprit is. I use this one. https://simplelogin.io/
  21. Question? Spam emails from their Email address or from other companies? If from their Email address did it have an Unsubscribe button on it on the Bottom?
  22. Just send them an email to stop those emails if they originate from them. I have several insurances through AA Insurances Brokers and never any Spam emails and I use an original email address for them via (https://simplelogin.io) maybe something you should try to see really where those emails originate from. I Only received a News Letter from them recently, which I unsubscribed by sending them an email.
  23. AA Insurance Brokers Not an insurance but a broker and they do have an office in Pattaya https://goo.gl/maps/Gh3XNygsyTjSF7BX9 Link: https://www.aainsure.net/
  24. But AFAIK even when it's a Bank Holiday the branches in the Malls will still be open.
  25. According to this, not, https://www.bot.or.th/English/FinancialInstitutions/FIholiday/Pages/2022.aspx Edit: But No idea how up to date it is.
