I just got the "deal" at an AIS store locally (see screenshot) 1890 THB for 100 Gb per month on an existing SIM or 14xx THB for a new SIM they pushed me to get a NEW sim as it is cheaper After I topped up to have enough balance they pushed in a Code on my phone and I got the 100Gb per month "deal"

That could be that you got an ip address (from your ISP) which was last used in those cities, and to be honest they are not that accurate in determining your location, for example they now say I am in BKK, but I am 400kms more to the North East ????

Are Thai solar panels any good for home use in LOS?
MJCM replied to Scouse123's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
We have them ground mounted now and totally not an issue with rains / winds. Our main issue is our feather friends (they are not my friends any more ???? ) because they like to sit on the ledges and then use the panels as their toilets. ???? Fortunately as the panels are ground mounted we can clean them easily but it's a task we have to do every other day with a Soft Brush on a long pole and a lot of water. In the near future ALL the panels will be wall mounted and that will mean going up a ladder to clean them. -

PEA and Solar how low can you go?

@Crossy I think I have figured out the NEW Ft Rate from Dec - April. Instead of the Discount we got according (excl the Heavy Users (500 Units+) to this scale in the Periods Sept-Oct, Oct-Nov and Nov-Dec. Starting the billing period in December (till April so Dec-Jan, Jan-Feb,Feb-Mar and Mar-Apr) everyone will have to pay the 0,9343 THB per Unit (kWh) and NO discount available. This would raise the avg Unit (kWh) price to 4.27 THB. So our Dec bill of 87 units @ 344,60 THB would increase to 430.28 THB an increase of 85.68 THB or 25%. Edit: Of course I only can confirm it when we get our First bill because everything is now as clear as mud. I will still search the PEA website because they put the changes up there -
Ooh know I understand what they are going to do. Before we got an Ft discount for 3 Periods (Sept-Dec) (see spreadsheet) From Jan - April the Ft Discount is GONE and every one has to pay the Ft Charge of 0,9343 THB per unit thus increasing the price per unit (kWh) effectively with almost 1 THB (0,9343) Edit: Ft = Fuel Surcharge

Sorry for the Thai Language Moderators When I talk to my wife about our Electricity Bill, I always say we used (example) 100 หน่วย (which translates to Units). If I would say we used 100 kWh (กิโลวัตต์ชั่วโมง) (Google translated), my wife wouldn't understand what I am on about.
-
The Consumption is kWh (Edit 2: Some people use the term Units to simplify it) As you noticed you will see Recent Reading and Previous Reading. and under consumption you will see what you have used for the Month (which is Recent Reading - (minus) - Previous Reading Edit: Added Picture (not my BILL)

British woman breaks nearly every bone in face in Thailand

Same here (Private Hospital) I was rushed to the Emergency Room (on a suspected heart attack) and they connected the heart monitor and IV. Almost Immediately a Woman from Insurance department came and asked my wife for 30k THB. When my wife presented my insurance card and they got the go-ahead from the insurance. Total bill, with 1 night stay was over 60k THB incl a "stress test" etc etc the following day (insurance paid it all) -
5555555555 You forgot to mention that you don't have an Electricty Bill because of Solar

+1 (No idea about Emclient) but if you post the LOGS DO remove any personal data, and no need to post the WHOLE log, just the error messages.

PEA and Solar how low can you go?
MJCM replied to MJCM's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
PEA Figures for the period Nov - Dec are in Units used: 87 (down 17,92% from last month) @Crossy yes the Ft Discount is still there. (but this is the last time) Ft Price: 81.28 THB but we got the Ft Discount of 80.07 THB We achieved this with the help of 2 simple GTI's (connected to 6 panels in total) We could have gone MUCH lower (60 @Encid ???? ) but SWMBO "ordered" the GTI's shutdown 8 (yes 8 ) days ago Here a graph for our usage from the last 5 months. -
Bangkok Bank Branch Transfer
MJCM replied to AAArdvark's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
I am keeping both my accounts. The one in Pattaya is dormant but has enough money in it (10k+) to keep it open and no issues. Debit Card has expired but even my Buriram account I don't have a Debit Card, withdrawals I do via the Banking App -
Bangkok Bank Branch Transfer

You have to open a NEW account in the NEW city. I have an account from the same Bank in both Pattaya and Buriram -
Late bank transfer.
MJCM replied to Gandtee's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
IMHO First the payee has to ask his BANK if they have any idea where the money is. Also the recipient could ask his/her bank where the money is. It could also be (not saying it did, but it could) that the money already has arrived but the recipient doesn't tell the sender. -
