  1. My FIL died Tuesday and I was talking to the guy who writes all the donations in a big book, and he gave me the book to look through and most of the donations were 20 - 100 THB with only a couple of exceptions and none were higher then 1000 THB. So it's most of it up to the Family. And someone told about an insurance and I asked my wife and it's in our old village (where the FIL lived) 100 THB per Household max and as the Village only has 90 houses so that is a max of 9000 THB. Edit: No beer at the Funeral only Lao Khao but not in abundance. And the Cremation is next week because the family is waiting for relatives who are living abroad. (The longer it lasts the more expensive it gets)
  2. Had a refund on my Debit card within a week as well after a Seller informed that a Product I just bought was out of stock.
  3. In Lazada there is the OPTION to save your Card for future use, which I always UNCHECK so my Card is not saved. Only one disadvantage about that IMHO, next time you pay again by card I have to enter the Card details again, but that is a minor issue. And also in your Banking App lock your card after Online Use. I never use my ATM Card for withdrawals use the Cashless Withdrawal in the APP for that.
  4. 800k THB in a bank account or a monthly income of 65k you need to have (if retirement extension) for that 1900 THB, so when you don’t have that 15k is an alternative (using an agent)
  5. Small stuff like up to 1k also COD, but the higher amounts always Debit Card and never an issue (yet). once or twice they were out of stock but was reimbursed very quick. you could also pay the driver directly via qr code, Flash and Kerry you can, other companies no idea
  6. I am using my Debit Card for most of the Online Shopping. Only practice is that after buying something, Immediately BLOCK the card in your Banking App (in my case SCB) and use Cardless Withdrawal in the APP to withdraw money from the ATM and not use your Card.
  7. Where do you see this? When going to 7/11?
  8. That s........ ???? @zoolander Question please. Do you now have 2 Electricity Meters? Meter 1 normal Disc Meter for the House Meter 2 a Digital Meter for the TOU / EV?
  9. @Crossy Is the TOU meter usually a 30/100 or .... ?
  10. Just FYI the TOU Peak and Off-Peak times So it would be safe to say if you do your washing and charge your car at Night then you will be using the off-peak rate https://www.pea.co.th/en/electricity-tariffs
  11. You forgot one important thing. where are you Located? edit:looking in your profile it says Bangkok. Correct? edit 2: The best place in Bkk is Rutnin which is the Eye Hospital https://www.rutnin.com/en/home/
  12. For me it would be oke if with Wise (when funded early morning) the money would arrive at 2pm the same day or even 2pm the following day. (If a weekday that is). Any faster is oke with me but not necessary. In all the years I am using them (since 2017) I only had one emergency (and that was yesterday) were I wanted for the money to arrive quick and it didn't but normally I don't care.
  13. I agree, normally I wouldn't bother to check but because 1- They said it's going to arrive at 11:00am (I send it at around 8:30am) and it did not arrive till 8:30pm so that was a bit strange 2- Was a bit of an emergency because that morning (yesterday) my FIL died and my wife needed Money for all kind of things, in the end I transferred it from my THAI Bank account so that she could go and buy stuff.
  14. Maybe a good idea to open a topic about it, like what vendors there are, how to apply etc etc? ???????? Personally I only know EA Anywhere and Volta (I see their …. Ad every time I open the PEA app ????)
  15. I think I am going for that cable when we get the EV, I will not bother with the Wall Box as I don't want anything to do with PEA (read: getting a 2nd meter just for the EV). Chargers are a bit thin here (looking at Plug share) with the closest one being MG (20kms). Maybe going to visit @Bandersnatch often ????
  16. Maybe using confused was the wrong word. But I now fully understand what you mean by it. Because at night the Panels don't generate and thus easier to disconnect things and also the Inverter is already in Standby mode.
  17. Yep, I want to charge the car only via Solar and NOT via PEA and thus only can charge during the Day as I don't have an ESS. But that said, I don't have an EV yet but really thinking hard about getting one in the near future.
  18. My thought was to use that cable instead of Granny Charging so instead of 2.3kW and then 21hrs to full charge use this cable 3.5kW (16A) and 13 hrs to full charge. This would even stress your Inverter a lot less ????
  19. Didn't you see this?
  20. I agree, but I was confused by this remark And I sincerely doubt that I can get my installer to come over at night
  21. @KhunLA what about these charge cables instead of granny charging? Only 3.5kW / 16A so you could still charge via your Solar System but a bit quicker. ???? https://www.lazada.co.th/products/feyree-portable-ev-charger-type2-iec62196-2-16a-32a-ev-charger-35kw-7kw-11kw-evse-charging-cable-eu-plug-controller-wallbox-for-electric-car-i3928455296-s15128119902.html
  22. https://www.officeholidays.com/countries/thailand/2022 edit: as said above that was yesterday ( Dec 5th)
  23. Same here, send money to my wife’s account to help with funeral of her father who died this morning and first (I send it at 8:30am) it said it would arrive at 11:00am, but that went and gone, so I thought 2pm it would arrive, nope it finally arrived around 10mins ago so it took around 12hrs.
