I wonder what the figures for BYD will be next week.
-
So first BYD at 996 Bookings and in the 2nd picture down to 883. So 113 people cancelled? But Tesla wow! More then 50% more then #2 WOW.
-
We also live very rural but our main problem is (at the moment) that the area where the car is parked is open from ALL sides. The guys who we want to do the job (only a days work as we already bought the steel etc etc) are very busy, but I do hope that they can come next Wednesday. So our first priority is to close that area off and then we can follow up on the protective measures and use Rat Poison all in of that area.

I only told what the garage told me. Who am I to doubt what they say? Edit: We didn't look that closely at the cable I only shot a picture as it was under the car. Even it was the dog we still have a nest in the Aircon system and even if it wasn't the dog we are still going to close the area and take protective measures

What to use to protect Tomatoes and other veggies
MJCM replied to MJCM's topic in Plants, Pets & Vets in Thailand
If you want inspiration, go to DoHome (Surin) (where iQ used to be) and they have a Greenhouse for sale, it's I believe 3-4m long and approx 1-2m wide. Ps: I saw this one at DoHome Buriram but I guess DoHome everywhere keep the same stuff ???? -
Update: We picked up the car yesterday. Total Bill 0 THB because our insurance paid. The garage ordered the cable on Monday (yes they were open) and the "stuff" got delivered on Thursday and we received the car on Friday because we also had them do a regular service (which was due anyway next month). The garage said it's definitely caused by rats / mice as they also found a rats/mice nest in the aircon system which they removed. Will follow up on your comments on how to prevent it but first priority is the closing off of the area where the car is parked so that we can put the preventive measures in place and NOT harm our dog, but that could still take a while unfortunately. At the moment we park the car somewhere else just in case. Thx again, really appreciated.

What to use to protect Tomatoes and other veggies

Thx guys for the replies, appreciated. The picture you see is just a small part of it (this plot is already around 20x4), so a Greenhouse as some of you suggested is not an option (I suggested it and the wife said "Paeng mak" ) I asked my wife (she is at the funeral of her father) and she has used tobacco (yaa sen) in the past and that didn't help. My sparky smokes it, he was more then willing to take approx 300g (the wife had left) to take with him after he worked for us ???? -
My wife has a veggie garden and is not using any chemicals on the veggies. (so a chemical free garden) But do you guys have any recommendations for a "friendly" and easy way to protect the tomatoes and other Veggies like Lettuce etc For example the tomatoes, some kind of animal is drilling a hole in them (even when they are still green) and eats the tomato from the inside. Thx in advance

Understood that is why in post #2 and #5 I mentioned to call the NCA call centre (1624) and ask, they will definitely know on which Route their Bus will stop in Korat (for sure) I just thought that an alternative for the OP could be take a Train from Don Muang Aiport (maybe there is a station closer to Morchit but that I don't know) and go by train to Korat. https://www.railway.co.th/Station/StationList I just checked and they have a train (times are for leaving the main station time so add another 20-30mins for Don Muang station) Leave 20:30 Arrive 01:36 Leave 21:30 arrive 02:36 Leave 22:45 arrive 4:19
-
Ah straight on the 24 via Nang Rong. Good to know.
-
care to explain that? I often got on a NCA BUS. and got on at Buriram when the bus came from Ubon and was going to Rayong. And the OP goes from Morchit (the starting point) and wants to go to Korat, so I mentioned that the bus to Khon Kaen (from Morchit) probably goes via Korat where he (the OP) can get off.
-
I am not 100% sure, maybe the one to Khon Kaen also. But call the call centre and one more thing this company is the only one I would take when travelling by BUS in Thailand.
-
You could check NCA (Nakorn Chai Air) Their call center number is: 1624 Edit: Website is https://www.nakhonchaiair.com/view/ The website is a bit strange as Korat is not listed but only the End Points. But as Korat Bus Station is a Major one, on their onwards routes they most certainly stop there.

Our abroad health insurance also pays out when either of us dies. Something like 25.000 EURO, but the premium for the Health insurance (NO LIMITS only 1000 EURO excess) is 180.000 THB per year. Maybe a good idea to look at another local one.

SIL daughter got also a Cheque (something like 80k or so) but not at the Funeral but afterwards and you don't wanna know how much trouble she had to go through before she got it eventually. Even the FIL had to sign (thumb print) a document that the insurance prepared.
-
Yep FIL died on Tuesday and cremation is I believe on Sunday or Monday (and that is only because Family members coming from abroad). You also have a lot of "freeloaders" coming to the Funeral, they guy with the book told me that there was one guy who wouldn't give to the donation unless he got a couple of shots of Lao Khao and food. He got it and you want to know what he gave in the end??? 20 THB ????
-
FIL has some kind of insurance (I have to ask my wife the details) but the BIL was paying the premium for that. But I guess it's only something like 20-30.000 THB in total which absolutely doesn't compare to the cost he and the rest of the family had to make because the FIL was already bedridden for well over 7-8 months. Another thing, also this year my wife's OLDER sister died, and for example the Electricity Bill the BIL got after that was well over 6500 THB, I wonder what it will be now (we will know on the 18th as then the meter reader comes)
-
My FIL died Tuesday and I was talking to the guy who writes all the donations in a big book, and he gave me the book to look through and most of the donations were 20 - 100 THB with only a couple of exceptions and none were higher then 1000 THB. So it's most of it up to the Family. And someone told about an insurance and I asked my wife and it's in our old village (where the FIL lived) 100 THB per Household max and as the Village only has 90 houses so that is a max of 9000 THB. Edit: No beer at the Funeral only Lao Khao but not in abundance. And the Cremation is next week because the family is waiting for relatives who are living abroad. (The longer it lasts the more expensive it gets)

In Lazada there is the OPTION to save your Card for future use, which I always UNCHECK so my Card is not saved. Only one disadvantage about that IMHO, next time you pay again by card I have to enter the Card details again, but that is a minor issue. And also in your Banking App lock your card after Online Use. I never use my ATM Card for withdrawals use the Cashless Withdrawal in the APP for that. -
Kuwaiti man arrested on Pha-ngan Island for 16 days of overstay

800k THB in a bank account or a monthly income of 65k you need to have (if retirement extension) for that 1900 THB, so when you don’t have that 15k is an alternative (using an agent)
