Someone said that getting a Retirement Extension is easy, but I never had any problems with Bank Letters / statements etc etc when I was still on the extension based on Marriage. The only reason I switched was because I ???? the under consideration period (up to 45 days), but now seriously thinking of switching back. Will of course report back how everything goes (next week somewhere)

Question: FD account or Savings account?

I checked my Bank Letter and Bank Book updates from Last year, and the amount was the same. Thus before I went to the Bank, I transferred the min. 2k THB to the FD account, then went to the Bank, got the Bank Letter and the amount on the Letter was exactly the same as the amount in the account. This was Bangkok Bank and money is in Fixed Deposit account. Also, as a test I transferred 2k THB to my FD account yesterday and the balance was immediately updated and I then printed out the statement via the BBL Website which showed the added amount and the updated balance. But Immigration will NOT accept a Printed out statement AFAIK, but can show them the Balance in the account via the BBL APP

100% correct on this. Another member (who uses the Same IO as I do) doesn't even need a bank letter an updated Bank Book is all (Afaik) Edit: Ah .... it, if they don't approve, I will just go to Savanakhet and get a Multiple NON-O (based on Marriage) and next year go the Marriage Route again ????

3rd Extension (before Marriage) and I went to Immigration last week and they SAID 3 Month statement and YHB (Yellow House Book) needed 800K is in there since I changed from Marriage -> Retirement (never taken money out only transferred money in) I also do that every year before I go to the Bank AND Immigration. Last year NO issues, but this year they came up with this. (I shouldn't have gone to Immigration and ask )

Just had a look at my Bank Letter from last year and it has the balance of my FD account of the same day when I went to Immigration and added money to the account early that same morning. So my guess, 3 Month Statement will have balance from day before and Bank Letter will have balance from the same day. Bbbbuuuttttt will report back next week when I went to immigration and the Bank. (Also will report back if they require the YHB (issue I raised in another thread)

I think I understand it now (Maybe wrong) The 3 Month Statement has the balance from Yesterday, but the Bank Letter with the actual balance is from TODAY. I just transferred the min. required amount of 2000 THB to my Fixed Depost account and the Balance is updated immediately. So on the day I go to Immigration I get 2 letters 1- 3 Month Statement with Balance from Yesterday 2- Bank Letter with the NEW updated Balance (as I will transfer money into the account on the same day) I hope this works (fingers crossed)

It's for renewal of Extension of Stay based on Retirement For example goto Immigration on the 11th, goto Bank early morning get statement and then go to Immigration, but the statement will only cover up to the 10th! (one day before)

My local Immigration wants a 3 Month statement that the 800k THB is in the account at least 3 months (for renewal of extension based on Retirement) The money is in a Fixed Deposit account and is in there for a very long time already (longer then 3 months) and it also was never below the min amount required Now I talked to the bank and they replied via Bankmail this So the statement will be from the day I go to the Bank Branch but the balance will be from the day before Will that be an issue? 55555555555 Good idea, but what about shade as you know shade and solar panels don't mix I used the ones you posted in the other thread, but birds just made their nests in between the spikes. IMHO v2 (above) needs more spikes (not an expert because I just throw stones at them

We went to the one in the Chang Stadium, but their comment on when we asked "what documents do we need for a new extension of stay based on Retirement" were literally "Same documents as last year" YHB? - No need 3 Month statement - No Need Oke I got confirmation from the Bank (BBL in BIG C) that a 3 month statement is available and I just now got a new YHB for our current home. So both the 3 month statement and YHB will go with me when going to Immigration BUT the ONLY document I will give them is the usual Bank Letter. The other ones will be kept in the bag and only will be given when asked for ???? Will of course report back. Ps: One crazy thing the bank clerk said was that the update of Bank Book for the Fixed Deposit account is from one day previous. I have done my extensions previously with the Bank Letter and that balance was also updated with the transfer I did earlier that morning (same day as going to the Bank and Immigration). So maybe the clerk has some old info? Will wait what happens on the day I am going to Immigration and update (next week though)

Update 2: I am now the proud owner of 2 YHB. (Old one got a stamp, moved out) Easy peasy. Arrived at 12:45, done at 13:15. Longest wait was to wait for boss to sign. total costs 30 THB edit: docs needed wifes housebook (owner of the house) wifes id card passport OLD YHB also wanted marriage certificate but at the end they checked in their system and it was oke.

In that case the owner of the property needs to give permission as you need his/her id card and tabien baan afaik

Update 1: Bank said no problem, can get the 3 month statement on the day I go to Immigration ???????? next up is Amphur for the YHB will update later on

Did you set in notifications that you receive an update via email?

I only used that office for 90 day reports, never went there for the extension. But will have a look as my wife wants to eat a Burger

That is my guess as well, but plan for today is 1- Go to the Bank to ask about the 3 month statement 2- After Lunch go to the Amphur and see how difficult it is to get a new YHB for our current address. Will update at the end of the day

Town Hall (the new one in the back) I have no idea why they said it, but we are going tmrw to the bank to ask about the 3 month statement and also try to change my YHB at the Amphur

TiT is the word here. I have no idea why they mentioned it today when I visited them, but they did. Maybe if they are going to "enforce it" I could mention I could always go back the Marriage Extension route (which is a lot more trouble for them) as I am still legally married but only changed to retirement because of the 30+++ (longest was 45 days) under consideration period. Just in case I will prepare those documents (marriage extension) as well (pictures etc etc) just to be prepared

As usual wifey forgot 5555555555555 No problems as we will go tmrw afternoon (not morning because it's way to busy) and ask. Tmrw morning it's off the Bank to ask about the 3 month statement. (A copy of someone else his / her 3 month statement which they used for IO would be very much appreciated.)

Can anyone please post a copy of their 3 Month Bank Statement (Personal Info redacted of course) I am going to the Bank tmrw and just wanna show them something.
