  1. eating humble pie now, am sure he feels a right fool
  2. I would agree with you on being less reliant on chinese products for any country, but we all know that will not happen
  3. So you agree Trump is not understanding how free markets work with his plan to phase out importing all Chinese essential goods in to the USA if he becomes president?
  4. If Trump wins, it will confirm to me how stupid americans are.
  5. Look forward to watching this, it is shocking how Purdue pushed the drugs and how the Sackler family made billions from it then wanted to settle for 6billion US dollars with a cluse that they would be protected from anyother future lawsuits. Luckly In a 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court ruled against a multibillion-dollar opioid settlement that would have protected the Sackler family from future lawsuits.
  6. Hi, does anyone know if there is a place I can park my car safely for a few days while I travel down to Penang island, Malaysia by min van?
  7. Admin can we please post? Urgent appeal, Rare blood required O -negative for Australian man. ourists visiting Thailand have been issued an urgent plea to help an Aussie dad on life support, with one simple act. They need a donation of a rare type of blood. James Lothian has lived overseas with his Thai wife, and two-year-old son for the past two years. Three months ago he was involved in a catastrophic car accident, leaving him on a ventilator in hospital for days. Now suffering from sepsis, and requiring an operation on his intestines, he needs O-negative blood. But in Thailand, just 0.3 per cent of the population have Rh negative blood (A-, B-, O- or AB-), so there’s a severe shortage. 8. Thai Facebook groups for renting, there will be groups in your location, ask a Thai friend to look for you. Wish you and your wife all the best.
  9. Totally agree, and as you said the UK is known for their compassion, yet the system needs to change so that the UK can look after and support all who live there in a positive supportive and way without overloading a system that is already buckling under the strain of not enough resources.
  10. Just to be clear, at no point did I blame any economic problem on illegal immigration. You do make some good points about daily costs. There are around 20,000 state schools in the UK, if each one was given an extra £8million a year what a differance it would make.
  11. Lawyers eventually filed three separate lawsuits from 2010 to 2013 against Trump University for, among other claims, “deceptive practices.”3 Donald Trump has agreed to pay a $25 million settlement to the people who attended Trump University in 2007, 2008, 2009, or 2010. Would be interesting to know if trump ever paid up.
  12. Would be interested to see the news on this, can please you share?
  13. With the very large crowds coming out to protest against the people making the riots, it is a very small percentage of Brits who are racist. Your figure of 7,000 is a bit short, in 2023 alone the government gave a figure of 52,530 irregular migrants entering the UK. Like most countries around the world, we need immigration, yet there is a very big problem with illegal immigration, this would stop overnight if the government stopped giving out benefits to illegals. The UK like most countries cannot keep supporting and unchecked immigration as it overloads the hospitals, police, schools, housing and general finances of the country. £8million GBP per day is spent just on accommodation for immigrants, if this money could be placed into the NHS or schools, what a difference. Countries need to build a sound foundation so the country can support it’s people and people wanting to live there. Just ranting about the negatives is not solving the problem.
  14. the solution being prison, being taken away for a quite talk, re-education. If you knew anything you would know the locals have learnt to be very careful in what they say in public and with friends. 14million voters wanted a change and what happen? As for a solution in the UK, the anti-protests against the riots is happening now, not saying all is good in the UK with illegal immigration, the government needs to change a few laws and deport. I like what happens in Australia, if you break the law and end up in prison then once time is served you get deported back to where you come from, same needs to happen in the UK and no appeals in court. Time for a change but without the violence of the past weeks as this is not fixing the problem.
  15. Many expats you meet in Thailand you would not associate with back in your home country. Choose carefully who you wish to chat with.
  16. car parts from authorised car dealers in Thailand are cheap compared to the UK plus labour cost is very low.
  17. I suggest you do some research, Thailand milk production supplies around half of it's needs, it therefore imports the balance to meet local demand and to secure their export market as Thailand is a major exporter of milk products within asia.
  18. Most milk is imported into Thailand
  19. Spelling police on here, thanks for the correction.
  20. would of thrown the rubbish out, property was going to be made a rental, I was not going to move in.
  21. You are right, last year a women had purchased a reprocessed house and went to move in and the ex-owner shot her dead. Had forgotten all about that.
  22. Went today to the Bank and asked about a house that they have reprocessed, Bank happy to sell it to us but they have a problem with the previous owner who has not removed his belongings out of the house and is arguing with the bank. This guy has defaulted on his loan and has no money to pay the bank and has moved out but left his belongings in the house, Bank told us we can buy but if we have a problem with the previous owner they will not help us. Sounds like the previous owner can dispute the ownership because he has personal belongings in the house which the bank has asked him to remove. Has anyone come across this before?
  23. I have windows 11 on the laptop, works fine, and I have windows 10 on the desktop, as the operating system is older and cannot upgrade to windows 11 without my upgrading the motherboard. As the desk top has very high spec when purchased it still works very well. The only annoying thing with windows 11 is it wants to know everything about you and wants to make you use window products, this part of windows I do not like. I prefer to choose what I use with out being pushed to a microsoft product. Regards Co pilot, microsoft says it was a mistake and I think they will do away with it in updates.
  24. As I said before, if you are not legally married then you are not recognised by Thai law! You have NO legal rights under Thai law if not married. If you are married under UK law, you will need to get legal advice from a lawyer in thailand on if the thai legal system recognises UK law. As for what we all think about our partners/wife or ex partner/wife, when it comes down to what they want or you want then all "good behavour and sometimes morals go out the window.
