Does it really matter if the Fortuner was behaving illegally or not? The poor rider is dead. We can all see the damage shows that the bike hit the Fortuner at high speed, and apparently in the left-hand lane or hard shoulder. This is not the lane for passing slower traffic, especially at high speed. RIP Mr XMax, and let's hope that this will be a lesson to save others' lives in the future. How can they possibly know he was travelling at 160? Even if the (digital) speedo was showing that, it could be for any reason. I'm confident that this figure was created from assumption due to the damage. And if the guy's front tyre had as much tread as its rear, there's no hope!

I recently bought an electrical product from a leading retailer, for a price of less than 1,000B. When I got it home, it was faulty, but I can't find the receipt. I have now gone back to another branch and bought the same item again, and of course kept the receipt. And tomorrow I plan to go back to return the original item with the receipt for the second purchase. I AM NOT asking for a refund, and am happy to have two items (if they replace it), having paid twice (once for each). Part of me feels a bit guilty, but another part of me says it's ok. I have paid two times with good money, but the first item was clearly faulty (wouldn't charge). Am I a bad guy?

The poor kids' parents should be arrested for encouraging child abuse. They should have aimed high (1,000,000B and castration) in order to deter others and at least take some of the pain away!

Is it possible that the driver - made a mistake, and actually took 1,000B thinking it was 100B? - saw that the Brit was drunk and possibly new to Thailand, and scammed him?

I feel that the photo is a stick/file image of the cabin and it looks to me like all those seats recline flat or almost flat. I have not seen the Thai guy's pics or complaint. Has anyone else on AN/TV seen this? All I'm saying is that it's unclear from the report exactly what the issue was. If he's complaining on behalf of himself and his clients, then are we talking about multiple seats? And if multiple seats, is it a malfunction (compensation deserved) or bad design (wouldn't we have heard of this before) or something else?

There has to be more to this. I smell some exaggeration. Was it one faulty seat, or more seats that never recline? Surely the plane cant have been designed to have non-reclining business class seats and if it was, then we would have heard of it before (from others complaining). I get the feeling there's another side to this story, and maybe the customers expected more than he deserved.

Up to 10 years in jail!? Can you imagine what the punishment would have been if he had dragged a policeman to his death in an exotic sports car then fled the country? Although he should have just paid the fine, there's a chance that other law breakers were ignored nearby at the same time, and this was an easy catch. And maybe, just maybe, the cop who put that chain on wasn't wearing a crash helmet, or may have been drunk and/or corrupt..... so who's more wrong?

My daughters rescued and reared 4 kittens from a day or two old, along with the mother. All are incredibly healthy, have full tails, and had vaccines. Two have already been rehomed, and these two boys are available for free to a loving home. We're on the west/north-west side of Bangkok

As @ChrisY1 points out, these trucks just seem to 'lose control and flip.... causing the 'mishap' I would guess that the 'mishap' was driver error and speed, and nothing else.

Well, they will do it at the wrong time of year, and cut corners on the quality/quantity of sand, cement and labour. It'll be dangerously broken within a year.
