Oh WOW there really are some bickering refuse-to-be-wrong old women on this thread, aren't there? Does it really matter if he was doing 100kmh or 200kmh? The poor chap is dead. Does it really matter if the Fortuner was behaving illegally or not? The poor rider is dead. We can all see the damage shows that the bike hit the Fortuner at high speed, and apparently in the left-hand lane or hard shoulder. This is not the lane for passing slower traffic, especially at high speed. RIP Mr XMax, and let's hope that this will be a lesson to save others' lives in the future. It certainly won't be a lesson to some posters who refuse to give in and have to quote each other and argue like children.

How can they possibly know he was travelling at 160? Even if the (digital) speedo was showing that, it could be for any reason. I'm confident that this figure was created from assumption due to the damage. And if the guy's front tyre had as much tread as its rear, there's no hope!

I'm not the sharpest tool in the box, and it's early Monday morning but what does "Before her death, she had shrewdly disabled the CCTV to record her final moments." mean? Because DISabling CCTV would have the opposite effect, plus who's to know SHE was the one tampering it?

I sort of knew that, and worded my heading accordingly. Solly!

I recently bought an electrical product from a leading retailer, for a price of less than 1,000B. When I got it home, it was faulty, but I can't find the receipt. I have now gone back to another branch and bought the same item again, and of course kept the receipt. And tomorrow I plan to go back to return the original item with the receipt for the second purchase. I AM NOT asking for a refund, and am happy to have two items (if they replace it), having paid twice (once for each). Part of me feels a bit guilty, but another part of me says it's ok. I have paid two times with good money, but the first item was clearly faulty (wouldn't charge). Am I a bad guy?

From what is written here, she should be given a medal. However, there are two sides to every story and we will never hear his.

Thai Airport Issues Warning to Pet Owners After Cat Incident
2long replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
"Previously, the Airports of Thailand (AOT), had no explicit rules barring pets from the airport" How is this possible?! -
British tourist arrested with cocaine hidden in passport
2long replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Five posts so far and none of them Brit bashing! Maybe the usual suspects are still in bed with their long time katoeys from a Friday night on the sauce! 😉🤭- 172 replies

Legendary Liverpool Players Meet Thai PM Srettha Thavisin

Whatever this little event cost, was a waste of someone else's money. -
Foreigner Attacked in Phuket After Alleged Assault on Transwoman
2long replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Waiting for the Brit* bashers and Katoey haters to all chip in. Probably both 'men' were equally at fault, but the men in dresses attack in packs. *before I get lambasted by you know who for mentioning a Brit because his nationality isn't reported, I know what I'm doing.... 😉🤭🥱- 129 replies

Influenza Spike in Thai Prison Infects 3,000-plus Inmates
2long replied to webfact's topic in Southern Thailand News
"The rapid virus spread has been attributed to group activities within the prison." which in reality means blame overcrowding and poor ventilation. I've been to NST prison, and it's not nice! -
Foreigner Assaults Phuket Tuk Tuk Driver Over Fare Disagreement
2long replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Thanks for misquoting me, for whatever reason you chose. Mine was a QUESTION saying 'IS IT possible that that the driver saw that the Brit was drunk and possibly new to Thailand, and scammed him?' -
Former Bangkok Teacher Arrested for Assaulting Student
2long replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
The poor kids' parents should be arrested for encouraging child abuse. They should have aimed high (1,000,000B and castration) in order to deter others and at least take some of the pain away! -
Distracted Driving Causes Fatal Collision in Lampang
2long replied to webfact's topic in Chiang Mai News
It sounds like they already know the complete sequence of events.... or are they looking into who's actually who and how rich and how keen to stay out of prison before confirming these 'events'? -
Foreigner Assaults Phuket Tuk Tuk Driver Over Fare Disagreement
2long replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Is it possible that the driver - made a mistake, and actually took 1,000B thinking it was 100B? - saw that the Brit was drunk and possibly new to Thailand, and scammed him? -
Thai Airways Faces Backlash Over Business-Class Seat Fiasco
2long replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I feel that the photo is a stick/file image of the cabin and it looks to me like all those seats recline flat or almost flat. I have not seen the Thai guy's pics or complaint. Has anyone else on AN/TV seen this? All I'm saying is that it's unclear from the report exactly what the issue was. If he's complaining on behalf of himself and his clients, then are we talking about multiple seats? And if multiple seats, is it a malfunction (compensation deserved) or bad design (wouldn't we have heard of this before) or something else? -
Thai Airways Faces Backlash Over Business-Class Seat Fiasco
2long replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
There has to be more to this. I smell some exaggeration. Was it one faulty seat, or more seats that never recline? Surely the plane cant have been designed to have non-reclining business class seats and if it was, then we would have heard of it before (from others complaining). I get the feeling there's another side to this story, and maybe the customers expected more than he deserved. -
Foreigner Breaks Police Lock on Illegally Parked Bike in Phuket
2long replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Up to 10 years in jail!? Can you imagine what the punishment would have been if he had dragged a policeman to his death in an exotic sports car then fled the country? Although he should have just paid the fine, there's a chance that other law breakers were ignored nearby at the same time, and this was an easy catch. And maybe, just maybe, the cop who put that chain on wasn't wearing a crash helmet, or may have been drunk and/or corrupt..... so who's more wrong? -
Three Dead, Seven Injured in Pickup Truck Accident in Thailand
2long replied to webfact's topic in Southern Thailand News
As @ChrisY1 points out, these trucks just seem to 'lose control and flip.... causing the 'mishap' I would guess that the 'mishap' was driver error and speed, and nothing else. -
Bangkok Revamps Sidewalk Standards for Better Pedestrian Access
2long replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Well, they will do it at the wrong time of year, and cut corners on the quality/quantity of sand, cement and labour. It'll be dangerously broken within a year. -
Dangerous Hand Grenade Uncovered in Chonburi District

Great headline. I would have thought that ALL hand grenades are dangerous.
