  1. Thanks all and agreed. โœ…๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป @Briggsy @Tod Daniels @BrandonJT @DrJack54 Any FIRST HAND experience of the portal they use would be much appreciated. I believe it's all online, with no visit to the consulate. I have no idea what file types or limits there are, but don't want to 'try it just to find out'. I prefer to have it all ready in advance. I'm expecting JPEGs and PDFs. I'm presuming that I first need to be out of Thailand to even apply. I plan to go to HCMC, Vietnam Then I need to show proof of location (a previous member said the stamp in my passport is ideal. I will have a letter from the UK company I own 50% of, explaining why I need to be here, with proof of monthly payments from that company to me. I will have approx 600,000 THB in my own personal SCB account. I will have an updated bank book and will try to get an online statement from my app, but I guess a letter from the bank would be useful, too. Anything I'm missing, have overlooked or screwed up? Thanks in advance, once again.
  2. I plan to apply for a DTV in HCMC, based on remote work through a UK company that I own. I feel that I meet the criteria, and have evidence. Considering that I have a wife, house & Thai kids here, do you guys feel that mentioning this will help or hinder my application? - it could help, showing stability and affordable accommodation - it could hinder, as it could appear that I'm just trying to avoid a marriage or retirement visa I have tried to make this a poll, and all votes are welcome... but I usually screw up trying to do these polls. Thanks in advance, y'all! ๐Ÿ˜˜
  3. I'm one of those 'dog lovers' and 'dog protectors' and 'it's never the dog's fault' kinda guys. But from what I read here, this animal needs to be exterminated, and although we can't do the same to the 'owner' a life sentence would be enough... and a deterrent for others who feel the need to show off by 'owning' such dangerous breeds.
  4. Am I missing it, or is the location not even mentioned in the OP?
  5. Lots of back and forth here, but no comments on the reason she did it. GAMBLING is the the single worst habit of so many Thai women. It's a disease and a drug and very dangerous.
  6. Moderators and the newsroom, PLEASE STOP posting reports like this from the Daily FAIL. It's not news, and you're just lowering yourselves to the Daily Fail's very low standards. They need to fill column inches but Asean Now doesn't. Come on guys!
  7. Can I ask any successful applicants what they supplied for 3.?๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป Would it be a hotel reservation in the country of application (for example Vietnam) or something else?
  8. So, how does one go about getting a Non-O spouse visa that enables trips abroad during the year? Is it a case of single entry (90 day), having to stay here and keep cash in the bank for those 90 days, and then applying for an extension? Sorry for appearing thick on this topic. Although I have been here 25 years, I was on a WP until a year ago.
  9. However, if I end up with a single entry, I presume a re-entry permit will fix that, will it? And does the 400k have to be seasoned if applying (first application) in HCMC? Thanks again
  10. Thanks Jack, That's perfect. I was thinking HCMC would be the best / easiest place. Ideally I want a DTV, but I'm not sure if I can convince them. I own 50% of a UK company that requires me to work online, ideally in this time zone.
  11. I asked the same question last year but never got a clear answer. I would like a non-o based on marriage, and am more than happy to leave the country. The multi-entry non-o sounds ideal. My question is, 'Can I leave the country more often than once every 3 months/90 days?' because I'm often in and out and prefer not to be restricted in dates. If I can do as I ask (leave every 3 months or less) how does that affect the period of validity of the visa itself? 12 months is fine, 15 months better, but less than 12 months would be a pain. Another option is the DTV, which is my preference, but I need a back-up plan. Thanks in advance.
  12. Like some should HAVE taught you proper grammar? ๐Ÿ™ƒ๐Ÿซฃ๐Ÿ˜‰ However, I agree with your point entirely. โœ…๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป
  13. I know that burning fuel off to reduce weight is a standard safety procedure, but there's a lot of innocent marine life in the Andaman Sea that now has become polluted... but if s diver touches a piece of coral, oh my what a drama!
  14. It looks like we have a similar YouTube viewing algorithm, as I recently watched that video. As for 'choosing your life partner' on physical appearance alone, well there are some shallow people in this world. I wonder how many AN members are physically perfect. ๐Ÿ˜ Bear in mind that sometimes people 'lose the will or ability to remain in a healthy shape' after they get into a long-term relationship.
  15. It sounds to me that Meow was cheating on her husband all along, and didn't want to get caught. Any rapist is stupid, but could one be THIS stupid?
  16. Because Thais love a reason to be in a lynch mob when they have no knowledge, reason or right to be doing so.
  17. While part of me doesn't want to promote his channel by pasting this link๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿปthe winning part of me wants to say how really fckn annoying this guy is, especially his voice/accent. https://www.youtube.com/@CBMedia404
  18. But how many jobs are done here by Cambodians and Burmese because those occupations are 'below' them? It's only fair if this law applies both ways.
  19. So, only the Frenchman was suspicious... but not the Russians? And as many have already posted, how about ALL THE THOUSANDS of Somchais who modify bikes yet get away with it?
  20. DTV is my first choice. Marriage my second.
  21. After 24 years on a NonB I have been on 60 day stamps since May 2024. I just got back for my 8th time, and although the IO was a bit quiet and slow, I showed her a flight out and she stamped me in for 60 more days. I don't expect this to go on, and I plan to get a proper visa in a month or two. Each time I leave, I go out for several days (sometimes more than a week), always by plane and to a variety of countries (Japan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Maldives and Taiwan).
  22. We have seen a trend of these stories recently. To me at least it appears that whoever's publishing them is looking to sensationalize things that are either not special or might not be true. I agree on the use of pics, as well. #waitingformyholiday ๐Ÿ™„
  23. Scumbags come from all backgrounds, countries and income levels, so how can this possibly have anything to do with the visa free nonsense mentioned in the article?
