Depends on the symptoms I expect....there certainly could be many that would make the daunting task of a 12 hour flight worrying.... even if the carrier would let a sick person on the plane. In the hospital he looks bedridden... last time I checked they don't let bedridden people on flights. People with blood issues can bring on heart attacks under stress. Have a friend currently unwell to the point of needing help.... subjected to a 4 hour wait in A and E at a Government hospital, and nurses there who have limits as to what they will do for you.. vey unsympathetic. One would need family or friends with you.

I often have on arrival into Thailand... not only about better variety and far cheaper prices, but availability. The selection of single malts at Riyadh is poor, pretty good in Dubai though.

In Thailand, that is not necessarily a peaceful situation either. Neighbours in houses always seem to need to have dogs and the local Wat puts loudspeakers up around the village! My pals with condos (VT 5) claim they do not have noise issues.

I used Thai Post from one of those Mailbox places in the Mall. I think it was about 200 baht for a letter size. Took about 5-6 workdays, so a few days more than a courier, but one tenth of the price.
