Off topic but isn't Holiday Inn owned by IHG Group , UK based? So the cleaner will be from Nigeria and India!

Coincidence, I had to dodge around a group of 4 in the middle of the road just yesterday.

Why Chinese tourists snub Thailand: New favourites revealed
The per capita number is probably more relevant. As is usual by those waving a red flag, you supply totals for many millions. I did not see that they are not welcomed, they no longer need a Visa for example.

Thailand’s tourism authority plans strategy revamp to boost visitor spending
Japanese have certainly been coming here a long time, used to see the business men a lot, chucking their expense accounts about in the GGBs.

Thailand’s tourism authority plans strategy revamp to boost visitor spending
Not in the main areas, Bangkok, Pattaya and even Phuket time past, I am pretty sure the Malaysians made up the numbers anywhere near the border though. I go back a bit further.

Bagpipe Players to play with
There is a pack of dogs near my home that like to get together for a singing spell, pretty sure they would not mind you joining them. Had a bagpipe player involved in a friends wedding I went to, so they are about, Although this guy was Irish and a drop down drunk!

Student Killed Trying to Cross Sukhumvit Road In Front of Dusithani College
I am not a fan myself! I noticed just recently, there are pedestrian crossing signals at the Klang/Suk junction.... but they don't get used....the little green man is flashing when traffic is still moving!

a reliable and not too expensive Visa agent in Pattaya
There are loads of agents all doing this work...... Try Mots services, 8000b (includes the 1900)....... they are pretty efficient. Although you still have to chase up a couple of bank letters yourself.

I Should Have Known Better.
The Lazada wallet has made my life easier, it seems to work very well for me. I usually have a 1000b sitting there. Since Lazada seem to honour a fair return policy I have no issue with it. I returned an incorrect item recently and the refund was in my wallet just after it was picked up. Hadn't even got to the supplier for their evaluation yet. I can always use the money and get close to zero, simply feeding the cat.

Thai Interior Minister Orders Stricter Age Checks at Bars and Clubs
Driving is getting worse and worse in Pattaya, and nowadays one hears horn beeping and sees many without helmets on bikes. This is all lack of policing.... used to be you could never stop at 2nd/Klang junction without a little guy in brown jumping out from behind his box. I had a falang who said he was a volunteer with the traffic police tell me there was some legal challenge and they had stopped issuing tickets..... This time of year they used to be out in force filling the coffers for the NYE police party!

Thailand’s tourism authority plans strategy revamp to boost visitor spending
I use mine once a month for the 25,000.... there's a quick access button for that amount. I seem to recall that 25,000 plus the 220 took me close to my card limit (or the ATM limit) many years ago and I have just stuck with it. It's silly really, I send money via Wise at a much better rate too! It's my tiny state pension and perhaps I feel they will stop giving it to me, if I stop pulling it out quickly!

Major e-cigarette gang leader captured by Thai police in 100 million baht operation
My perspective slanted... Mrs got hit by a Facebook based selling scam not long ago. Facebook should perhaps leave it to Ebay and Lazada!

Ex-Democrat Party deputy cleared of abduction charges in Thailand
Behaviour sounds well inappropriate to me..... I do hope it was a first time thing and it is lesson learned and no further bad behaviour. And the lesson is not that he can get away with things!

Significant Growth in Electric Vehicle Interest at Motor Expo 2023
One of the reasons I bought a Hi-Rider truck was because getting caught in 50cm of water was pretty common place in the Pattaya area.....always recall coming back from immigration to my vehicle on Jomtiem 2nd and it was in quite deep water... I sort of climbed off a high kerb into it. A regular low profile car would have had wet carpets. Of course City Hall have fixed all the flooding issues now haven't they!

Thailand to move away from foreign tourism and rely more on home travellers in the latest TAT masterplan
Might also depend on how the fares compare. A train from Western China may well be well under the current 24 hours and attract some....

PM Shrugs Off Questions About Corrections Dept’s Latest Regulation For Thaksin
Because some refer to him as the ex PM convicted of graft and abuse of power, who ran away like a coward from justice and swanned around the world for 15 years evading imprisonment. He returned and still does so.
