There have always been a lot of foreign bar owners and managers in Pattaya.....the profusion on soi 6 was a different and more recent business model that produced a marmite type of reaction. They accept commission drinks but not sure if they can be barfined.

That said, I have recently noticed quite a few families with young kids, often have a bit of English in their interaction. The parents are far younger than I am of course, and they may well be middle class. Perhaps it is a status thing?

Didn't that start with them allowing foreign owned casinos to be built, then hotels etc etc? Indicative that if Thailand does decide to allow casinos, the control of them should be kept in domestic hands.

They were quick to make promises then are slow to act out. In reality this was not the fault of the Thai Government and offering compensation to people who chose to go and work elsewhere is a generous move. Lazada deliveries require a phone call very likely from an unknown number. I was told the agent required a call pickup for him to be able to flag an item as delivered. It is possible your message answering service makes that work.
