    Yes, I agree. And putting on one's hazard lights doesn't mean you can double park infront of the 7-11 while you buy a plastic bag of iced coffee.

    Aren't some countries seriously pursuing the banning of social media accounts for young kids now?

    A few scattered around a little railway station by young locals, I am quite sure is a small fraction of those ending up in soi 6 toilets! I can only imagine the number emanating from Pattaya Central each night!

    Well immigration ( a division of the police) can supply that information for those on say retirement extensions. They can also go through the belongings. I had a pal die in hospital and the police were round 'securing his belongings' in short order.

    I turned up at the agents with my passport, updated bankbook, a passport picture and the one bank letter. Paid the fee, was driven to immigration for a photo that took 1 minute and that was it. In the past I was at home copying for an hour or two based on a long list of requirements, and always feared being short of something, and having to make a 25km round trip home.

    Pretty sure they will want to see an original... I think they are only valid for a month from issue anyhow, and for the purpose issued..

    The police would know and I suspect they would act to have accounts locked.

    I once talked to an Indian guy warning him that the very obvious and heavy looking necklace he wore would make him a target in Pattaya.... he told me it was fake!

    She also accompanied him into a hotel....... and chose to make her escape later. All sounds strange.

    Agreed there.... you hear so many cases of 13-14 year olds out and about in gangs after midnight.... and at that age cannot be charged with any crime whatever they get up to.

    Yeah well, it's not like the US is a great example of safety on the streets at night from juveniles is it?

    I saw a guy on a Segway type of device whizzing towards Suk down Klang the other day, and have also seen people on electric scooters on Suk and The Railway Line Bypass.... I thought this a dangerous way to go, but at least the Segway guy had a crash helmet on, and both hands on the steering.

    Well there isn't a 7-11 nearby with a trash can, but I suspect there might be one on the railway platform.
