  1. What? One is supposed to print out the approved slip and keep a copy in ones passport.
  2. Haha, now I have heard it all in the tea makers guide! Would one have to be on the North or South pole exactly for this to apply?
  3. Not that I needed their help on that one!
  4. Collections for the big Christmas Eve and New Years Eve parties!
  5. There you go, if you like to take a walk and might fall into a manhole or ditch, take a dog with you. It seems they will pull out all the stops to rescue the dog, and you too, maybe!
  6. I suspect the second part was passed over, but it sounds like we were at the testing stage. One can only imagine the wiring in these older GGBs.....
  7. There are lies and damned lies but this is a doozie!
  8. The fact that he was going much slower than say a motorcycle would have been did not help. Can't recall for sure but I think the guy had a right of way, but nobody knows what that is, or think they all got it. No worse than the samlor, food cart type vehicles, all trying to get across too.
  9. I might suggest he wasn't the brightest sparky (oops), if he still was in contact with wires or the fan itself, after telling her to turn the fan on!
  10. Well we recall the guy getting hit at one of the junctions on The Railway Line Bypass Rd, Khao Talo I believe. These so called vehicles are for urban use and most certainly not fit for being out on major Thai roadways. They can easily get stuck on the Railway lines there.
  11. That would be the 'W' one sees in the Woke acronym.
  12. We did the bus-stop thing before, in fact one can still see them dotted around town. A place for drunks to bump themselves and working girls to lean. How about a 50 baht congestion charge?
  13. True enough... two wheels travelling at 60-70 kph would have fared worse.
  14. Yes I have been missing those, but put my own into my email calendar each renewal.
  15. Oh I don't know! Rural Thailand can be pretty tedious. If you get bored in Pattaya you aren't doing it right.
  16. Go through such experiences very frequently on the Railway Line Rd, both at The waterworks Rd and Soi SIam CC. Can't imagine how bad the roads a little further South get.
  17. There is some radio coded key that has to be nearby... I would like to think they are harder to get away with..... although perhaps pushing them away and loading them up onto a pickup might work. Rental bikes, you have probably signed your life away on a contract!
  18. We had a promise that all the roadworks would end before high season some time back when someone new was appointed into the top position. Second Rd at least seems to be complete, well the Northern end to Klang I often use.
  19. I came across a similar woman as I walked on Klang one Sunday morning, between Foodland and Big-CX. She was in such an extreme state of despair I felt rather disturbed. Glad at least this lady got some help.
  20. At some point an angle grinder became a cutting tool Was that the original idea?
  21. Almost certainly.....only difference is they are prepared to close down service back there.. here they will keep serving as long as you keep buying.
  22. It's all go and excitement in The World Class resort of Pattaya!
  23. Out of interest, was it also about 500 baht?
  24. I suspect it was left there for him in a handy place under the steering.
