  1. Who will take on the financial burden of policing the football match... there would be a phenomenal effort needed to prevent incidents made? We aren't even a month on from a deadly attack on a synagogue in Manchester. I am unhappy to see the protesters win, but the decision not to allow the israel supporters in, or play it elsewhere, seems a fair approach.
  2. Well does 104 incidents of Brits a year sound like a small small percentage? And there are many more Chinese coming here, yet we hear of fewer incidents. Also many more Malaysians.... never hear anything of them smashing up bars. Top visiting tourists are Chinese, Malaysians, Russians, Indians and South Koreans, Brits are not even in the top five until it comes to smashing up bars. My countrymen appear to mostly be brats!
  3. You mean in the centre or simply to ban parking? Perhaps the USA guy incident, who was hit by a motorcycle taxi in more ways than one.
  4. Well done. I relocated a green snake (or similar) just the other day..... it wrapped itself around my wrist and made a knot any yachtsman would have been pleased with. Bit of a struggle to get it off for release, and I found it pretty strong.
  5. Had to get to the second sentence before it was clear which party you talked of!
  6. Perhaps Thais are more discreet about where they do their bonking.........
  7. All's well that ends well. Seen a few angry tough guys put in their place (on the ground) lately. Perhaps deportation should be added to deter the behaviour.
  8. Yes, I expect you are correct, been regaled with a few tales of woe along those lines. Sounds like this guy was required to pay up front, something I too have come across lately.......
  9. I am sure quite a number of guys do....... one sees many man bags around town. Perhaps not confident of the room safe, if it even exists. Personally I would not go on the raz with my passport on me. What I often had was a card from the hotel....
  10. Well likely the contract he signed makes him liable for the full value/cost of the bike. Many fail to register that when renting.
  11. I doubt she did it in English or Hindi, and he had nowhere else to go. More concerned the hotel seemed incapable of keeping them out. Random ladyboys wandering the hotel corridors would not help me get a nights sleep there.

Thought I saw a sign for 300 baht at a similar place. They probably do a delux room for more with handcuffs.
  13. I get that way over my failure to have ever owned an Aston Martin!
  14. Aren't we going off at a tangent here?
  15. Or he wanted to pay less, as already suggested! Getting violent out there.
  16. Great, will they get more motorcycles in for them all?
  17. Where is the one-punch wonder guy when you need him?
  18. And just in case the old boy has any valuables left, his address is listed above!
  19. Well, those trues colors are to be pro anybody on the horizon who might bring money!
  20. Seems a lot of effort, compounded by the fact there actually are not many Krung Thai branches in town. I shall keep my 800k in the Fixed deposit account where it has been for many years now.
  21. Me... I have a fear of heights, and certainly of being on a high balcony. I might let her be on the balcony to say have a cigarette during things , as I don't smoke nor like the smell.
  22. They don't get involved for free you know!
  23. I did not describe the breakfast there! My reference to dry toast was as per the prior picture and not Nickys, where that was not the case. I was a Sunday regular there with a pal I knew from workdays in Abu Dhabi. Sadly the guy passed and I stopped going.
  24. I would worry more about her husband's criminal and strange habit of doing a runner!
