I am concerned about electricity prices which I am told will rise substantially in the New Year..... had a go at the Mrs last night as to why we had a rice cooker on for hours on end! -
I took a look at a couple of other currencies and could not make that determination.... overall flat against Sterling and Euro this year..... so aren't we seeing USD weakening really? The dollar surged previously when they were applying quite substantial interest rate increases to hold back inflation and now that is falling away.

Not sure about that....other countries were taking similar measures and that would have had the same effect on Thailand. The far higher death rates would have had impact too. A recession was inevitable. I thought all the people comparing Covid, that killed 6.5 million, to 'flu' had learned to keep quiet, but no, they still carp on with their fool's message. How about we get back to the topic......

Do drivers of these types of vehicles ever wear seat belts... they have to move around a lot. -
So does the L.K. Metropole just over the road.....but generally the area is a nightmare to park in.... Is The Avenue multi storey a possible spot too? (Although inaccessible from Bua Khao side)

I recall how I used to make the joke as a kid that cranes were pulling themselves along, when they were on the roads with the hook tethered to the front of the cab. Just another example of the stupidity and laziness here of these drivers. Didn't we have a spate of bad accidents with trucks losing their containers because drivers weren't locking them down a while back? -
You don't think facilitating the opportunity for 4-5 more for the road is a negative direction. I do.....

Yeah I have noticed that in my local 7-11... previously never a problem with the shelves all full... often now only those silly little bottles. Cows on strike or some udder problem?

I would not say they had a small car park, isn't there the multi-storey at the back? Yes it is always full though. There is the parking at Reung Ruen bus station, but again gets full. The OP seems to be looking for parking near his hotel on BuaKhao... not much space in that area and not sure which end he wants....isn't there paid parking at the Buakhao market?

And your comment is too. If you travel to another country, it is behooves you to follow their laws and respect their culture. What happens in other countries is not the point.... I notice you did not consider China.

I think Tim summarizes the situation quite well in the above report and find his personal comments reasonable. At a funeral the other day I was a bit bored and took a tally of mask wearing....(yes open air). None of the farangs, only a few there, wore masks. All of the monks did. About 75% of the Thais did.... which made me feel a bit guilty for not having one on, or with me.
