  1. I LIVE in Pattaya it is eeeeeasy.
  2. Other than mental or drug taking issues i am with you on this ...( although drugs is self inflicted). He went native.....
  3. That would not explain the sixes.......but I think it is something like that. wasn't legal before, now they can tell the truth.
  4. (I know you did not post the above comment, but quoted it!)...I just thought, 'they already do'... I do not see the retirement extension nor even marriage ones as long term, being a max of a year at a time, and terms could be changed, off you go! The more recent LTVs being offered are extremely onerous!
  5. Where is that lovely sing-song voice I came to love flying in on Thai International?
  6. Vietnamese too... but the odd Aussie with some stupid animal skin or bladed weapons can get caught up in it. What is it with these folks, is foodstuff expensive in Oz or you don't have any, and live off kangaroo and koala bears?
  7. I suspect the Indian grapevine wised folks up... haven't seen them sporting their gold chains of late. Weren't the LBs back to pickpocketing Koreans now? (I suspect the one under the bed trick going through the pockets is still happening too!)
  8. I used to avoid empty ones as they often were operating in 'taxi mode'....I expect now the tourists are back they will be doing that... specifically looking for a couple or group of tourists that can be charged 200 or so baht for a short ride.
  9. Well neither have I so things might have been re-arranged too!
  10. My Mrs has gone off to Buffalo shxt village to see her mother....took the toenail clippings and some hair off my chest with her. The guy with the little bar in the village will miss my patronage tonight... maybe.
  11. I hope so.... after my regular Sunday shop when I saw the total yesterday I was taken aback. Everything seemed to have jumped up!
  12. Well they could be 'got rid of' rather than moved and be nobody's problem.
  13. Or can't be arsed with all the messing about! I certainly don't see the sense of an 80 yo buying, unless for a partner.
  14. Not sure about the number of accidents, but the police haven't been doing their stops and checks much, which would cover fewer charges,
  15. Diversion and irrelevant. You do not know if they will be harmless tomorrow. I too live in a village and plenty of packs of dogs that mostly appear harmless... but one night, after Loy Kratong, I tried to walk home and they exhibited plenty aggression.....
  16. Exactly, what would they expect him to do. Flee might not fit what happened, he exited, paddled out of the pond, looked about confused, got his bearings and set off home!
  17. Qatar flew in and out from Doha for a spell. You know how it goes, build it and they will come. Better roads nowadays, when it was just Sukhumvit it was a dead loss.
  18. The way to find the owner is if you happen to cause injury to it! Then it becomes the much loved family pet! I am rather negative wrt dog ownership... not a day goes by that I am not disturbed by one of my neighbours dogs going at it...many nights sleep too!
  19. Fast track is a separate area , Fast Track Immigration is mid way between the 2 main immigration areas. Arrivals on non Thai carriers usually walk on a bit further to Fast Track, which is signed. If regular immigration looks quiet, I usually just go there.
  20. An Australia ETA for some.....definition. You need a visa to travel to Australia unless you are an Australian citizen. An Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) is an electronically stored authority equivalent to a visa, which is linked to a passport number. Sounds like a Visa.... no criminal record of over a year in jail permitted.
  21. Presuming it was ever within their reach. It has taken time, but now in the UK, it looks impossible for the younger generation to ever own their own home.
  22. Yes we got a Thai lady goes round the village doing the same.... rumour has it she had a run of bad luck, consulted with a monk at the Wat, and this was suggested to her as a good luck merit thing.
  23. There are 5.6 times as many cannabis related admissions so far this year relative to last. An example of numbers could be 100 last year, 566 this, or 50 last year and 283 this, so far. That is as low as I can go as 283 is a prime number. Since Thailand has eased restrictions this year this is not really surprising, but a little concerning as to why we have so many admissions. (If stats to be trusted). What causes you this lack of mathematical dexterity?
