  1. Sure?... I was told to expect a visit from my wife's brother with his wife and child soon. Misery, got her mother already!
  2. Well I do and have so far had only a single minor instance in many years..... I don't think taking all my cash, cards and passport out with me is a good solution. It might be beneficial to accidently lock the safe and see how easy it is for them to come open it in front of you....! One time I did this and it was a right rigmarole!
  3. A subsequent crime of failing to report to court too. Actually pleasing to see this was pursued....it would have been dropped in many countries.
  4. I don't mind the convenience of a tap and go for small purchases, nor do I have a problem with scanning a QR code to pay my electricity or water bills.... very convenient. But I don't need Applepay....
  5. Well I just heard a case of someone doing exactly that, and it was beneficial as he could get into isolation.....with cheap and readily available RAT tests I really do not see why not... if one is suspicious they have been in close enough contact. It was far from a waste of time as they quickly prescribed anti-virals for him.
  6. Well true enough, I don't ever carry it unless have business at the bank or immigration.
  7. Alright, you are correct. I take a cold box and clear them out!
  8. I suspect people are paying it.... plenty of arrivals now.
  9. Why not? An asymptomatic person can be a transmitter.
  10. What do they care I just bought a Magnum at my local 7-11
  11. You need to look at the OP pic and the post I quoted.
  12. I would not like to be in that position..... The regular police do take passports too....
  13. I know, awful place, nothing to do! Might as well be in Huahin!
  14. I have often wondered how one would stand if the police insisted on seeing and then retaining your passport. I believe it happens frequently, not just the police, but a hospital too if one has a bill to pay! I wonder if they have any right to take it off you. I recently heard a case where a guy was left without cash, or a passport, and had no way to get some money.
  15. Heck I wasn't going to go ask them ..... I paid my bill, slipped out in a direction away from where the police were focusing, and got on a WIN!
  16. Now you understand what a 'novel ' is don't you?
  17. Tongue in cheek.....? Tell your wife putting metal objects in the microwave is not a good idea.
  18. A brightly coloured one (HiVis), might prevent one being hit by a truck... might!
  19. A form of low symptom long Covid..... can't say I know enough to comment. Surely the fact people were unable to get treatment for all manner of ailments and symptoms for 2 years must have had an effect too.
  20. I expect a very very small number have adverse reaction, and earlier in the pandemic, there were rumours some of the adverse reactions came from incorrect application (hitting a vein). To deny that vaccinations broke the back of Covid, along with the mutation...... how quickly people forget, and put their own spin on things.
  21. Yes, with an excess of MPs and insufficient customers, this would seem to a cheap and positive change of business model.....
  22. Ever had them hand back the loose coins you give them to make your change easier...? ie with a tab of 402 baht, I give 502 and the coins are returned with a confused look. It seems to happen less of late, maybe as I stopped using Tesco/Lotus!
  23. I took a look and nowhere in the Excel file does it say 30,000 more 'simply dropped dead'......The fact people are dying outside hospitals does not surprise me either.... usually they are kept alive in hospitals, the problem is getting into one in a timely manner. I am unclear what point you try to make.
  24. The best step might be if all these vehicles could drive themselves here....
