  1. Is it okay on the putting green?
  2. You would like to think so!
  3. It's illegal in Thailand!
  4. You are like the king of the castle, surrounded by a moat this time of year on the dark-side!
  5. Surely it is below you to be in that area. Why do you keep wandering around there?
  6. I recall attending such a funeral at Wat Nong Yai, it is on the right after you pass through North Rd junction on Sukhumvit going North.
  7. So we aren't talking about some fast food chain then?
  8. Spot on......
  9. I recall a colleague bringing a Korean friend to the 'village' on our Friday off to enjoy our pool facilities, and it was very apparent he was not confident in water.. my colleague said all Koreans were poor swimmers.
  10. I hate to break it to you, but as a pedestrian, you have little standing in the plans of Pattaya, pardon the pun. They are more likely to open up more parking to facilitate vehicles, than close roads to traffic..... think of Beach Rd.
  11. It's a possibility...... I doubt he climbed down there.
  12. The stick was not long enough, hence the need to take of the lid, and lean over the edge...... and the rest is just history!
  13. Same but a few weeks ago in June. Although I paid for an agent..... you get a cute girl to hold your hand!
  14. Yeah, I have had that happen, they call to ask for some extra baht for some excuse or other. Being relatively far away from you, or there being heavy traffic in the way. That probably blocks other drivers picking up the fare on the App.
  15. He needs to sell shares in his bar business to anyone who will listen........I seem to recall that approach being used before in Walking St area (although they didn't stop at 100%) ...shhhh......the place still went tits up.
  16. King's Birthday holiday, no bar closures. Usually reserved for Buddhist special days and elections.
  17. Nightmare scenario, but a story often played out.
  18. Takes me back to many years ago and frequent breakfasts at Crazy Dave's, always enjoyed the fry-up and it was a bargain... served by a rather sour faced, unhappy bxtch!
  19. I don't recall it really looking like a pub, but then again I only ever went there for breakfast, or lunch meal.... perhaps it looked like one in the evenings with a few drinkers elbow on the bar, foot up on the foot rail?
  20. Getting a wallet out on the street probably never wise.
  21. Sounds like an old scam i have heard of... and yes, I doubt they are Dubai citizens. With the liberal approach to Visa exempts we now have, expect more like them......beware of people with large bags on the songtaew.
  22. A lot of good eateries failed due to Covid. Pre Covid I had quite a variety around me and new ones popping up were common....felt sorry that Covid took away their investment. Now we mainly just have the ever expanding and dominating Pa Boon places.
  23. I do see them bring a bottle of scotch or maybe wine with them, and they are allowed to. But of course for the former the bar gets to supply ice, water and sodas. Taking food from elsewhere into a place that supplies food is very tacky...
  24. I thought the Bangkok poisoning of 6 were Vietnamese, and USA of Vietnamese descent.....or are these different deaths in BKK?
  25. jacko45k replied to metroa's topic in Pattaya
The favorite go to Pharmacy for such aids has always been next to Tims......on 2nd Rd....Tim's (great place years past) is likely a weed shop or massage now, but I think Pharmacy is still there, opposite Lek Hotel.
