  1. Well the usual line is transferred to an inactive post, not much of a change for many of them.
  2. I have been to a few, difficult climbing, slipper rocks etc, and I believe a recent tourist death at one.
  3. jacko45k replied to georgegeorgia's topic in Pattaya
I recall a fuss about a USA National painting a temple wall.
  4. Not as effective as making Bruce Lee howling noises I expect!
  5. If they were real, let us hope these guys are quickly sacked and punished for their crimes, nothing more despicable than a corrupt bullying police force.
  6. Considering the wet weather we have been having, a trip to a remote waterfall was folly.
  7. So long as they keep it over on that side of the railway line no problem. I might suggest that incomplete stadium would work for these gladiator games.

Pics taken while the vandals were drawing the pic would have proven more interesting.
  9. Well I followed a vehicle up the Railway Line Rd without any plates at all yesterday, I suspect it wasn't a one off thing! The guy in the OP has been driving an indiscreet vehicle with false plates for 5 plus years. Lack of policing around here.
  10. Yeah, they aren't as visible from behind as zebras!
  11. It always will be, still too many open sewer lines around.
  12. More than one, there are dolphin shows as well as aquariums! Go sea fishing. Go cart racing, a trip to an Island, Buddha mountain, the Sanctuary of Truth, Sea walking, a submarine ride, visit Mini Siam, Art in Paradise, a seafood meal over the sea, see a Ladyboy show (my sister loved it), say hello to moo daeng at the zoo, a huge waterpark just outside town, do ziplining, go jet skiing, a trip to Samaesan island, and then relax by the pool at your 5 star hotel, or even a 4 star one at under 2000 baht a night. They have a floating market too but it is crap!
  13. Traffic is a whole other level, but it has a lot to offer.
  14. Apparently they had 'permission' so I would hope visas were correct.
  15. Had one in my garden once, had to call the Sawang Boriboon to get rid, strong and fast when they want to be.
  16. It might also be about you ageing.... I find that myself, but Pattaya offers alternatives. Vietnam is not a place I know.
  17. I am afraid you have no idea what you are talking of. Don't deny congested traffic, but hey, people come here from Bangkok in their thousands at weekend to get away from a worse scenario,
  18. Do you know what BBC stands for? And that question has a couple of answers.
  19. Many many alternatives to being in the red light and bar areas is probably why. Super large shopping centres, aquariums, water parks, botanical gardens, etc.
  20. I believe it was just the entertainment zones as classified that got a pass on this. Didn't know the 7-11s did though.
  21. Poor things got dragged around the beer bars at night, along with BBQ sellers and guys with monkeys and snakes. These days I expect they cause a bit of a traffic back-up, still rather have one of those than a coach of xxxxxxx blocking the roads.
  22. THere is a continuing pressure on this aspect of town, but what was presented here is not reality, but had an agenda before they even started filming. I always felt when they got rid of soi 6, it was the end, but it is still there and lively as ever. As to the UK, hardly a place to shine a negative light on anywhere else, see a few YT posts from Billie Moore to see how low it has become.
  23. This is a real PIA, a lot of us are over 70 and I use my bank app a lot, I might say I wonder how I could get by without it. Going to the 7-11 or an office in town is not straightforward as one ages either! Society is chucking me on the scrap heap!
  24. It's probably the ones that hang about looking to supply sexual services that are of a higher risk!
