These modified ones, obviously being used as work vehicles, driven by young males, do whiz around quite recklessly in this area..... along with the HGVs heading to and from the port to Hwy 36 it is a dangerous areas to be on a motorcycle. -
It is not that many years back that it was fairly open space...... Forward planning was forgotten in preference to profits.

I had been made to feel they were very keen to collect those 2000 baht fines. Perhaps their last record was, as you say, the hotel and that was as close as they looked.

So very true.... you only get a1km tailbacks on the railway line junctions with minor roads crossing it when the police get involved.

I just replaced my old cooking gas cylinder yesterday at a cost of about 2100 baht, filled. I wonder if there are any regulations wrt the people who refill these cylinders, they do look less substantial.

Yeah the online site doesn't support the intermediate stops... there is a preference for customers who go end to end. I always went to the booking office on Suk and got a ticket with the help of my good lady. No real issue getting on in Pattaya which is en-route.

There seems to be no sense of danger or risk in the day to day behaviour..... the mother, with 2 kids up on the motorcycle riding against traffic seems oblivious to the risks.
