  1. Yes that is who I was thinking of..... Surely a great help to poorer families.... they were not around when I had to arrange a few UK funerals all of which were many thousands of pounds. No there were not horse-drawn carriages involved. It's a rip off in the UK.
  2. Maybe Thai888 Law or something like that.
  3. No, I had a UK friend die and never found out until after the event.... I got a message the Embassy had taken care of arrangements. I was very surprised too.
  4. I am not in the UK so that is irrelevant. Not sure my gauge or those in the stations are all that accurate.
  5. I believe the embassy will arrange something basic, although they don't seem to advertise it.
  6. And carry on driving on the right?
  7. Usually a little label telling what the tyre pressures recommended by vehicle maker are inside the drivers door. That said, when I bought new tyres they definitely looked too soft at that number, and I upped it a few psi. The rear varies depending on load.
  8. Hard to believe really. A funeral here, I would expect to be somewhat cheaper than one back in the UK. Although I hear there is some basic service being offered back there now. As someone else said, everyone seems to be looking for someone else to pay for things, and cover their lack of foresight.
  9. Pretty much applies to most places in town, but let us continue with all the various classifications as it helps some of us navigate the variety!
  10. I think she has been there since the phone was the only way to book a room!
  11. My oh my, are there no limits to the behavior of bad people!
  12. Many years ago I recall having a one week girlfriend who had quite noticeably scarred hands... she had been given a container of a strong acid to clean under her sink with. I also recall some workers bringing along some strong acid to try and clean off the sand wash round the pool. Stuff seems easy to get hold of.
  13. Very much the wrong image for the family friendly international resort of Pattaya.
  14. It's a little like the annual floodings.... very seasonal and will be forgotten about until next year.
  15. It's not for me, I absolutely never watch it. Mrs watches these puerile programs in the evenings. Laughs her head off at whatever is going on!
  16. Go eat dirt and look things up for yourself. https://yorkmix.com/york-council-hiding-electric-vehicles-in-embarrassing-and-expensive-fiasco/
  17. I thought it was that one in Sri Racha, Phyathai Sriracha Hospital.
  18. Is it true that it is the equivalent to a tax ID? A lot of folks will be needing those come the start of 2025.
  19. Whatever it takes I suppose.....
  20. Slippery slope...... I was reading only yesterday of some UK local council that had wasted millions upon millions of taxpayer money on a fleet of electric garbage vehicles, that they are unable to charge and are not fit for purpose, They have hidden them away somewhere.
  21. It must have been someone else's fault...surely nothing to do with the very safe batteries we have nowadays.
  22. Yes, although that specializes in littering up and clogging waterways.
  23. I don't believe so........ likely they avoid getting involved with that..... they certainly see it going on.
  24. Yeah, I get a sense I am deliberately being buzzed especially around Buakhao....
