We bought gold,i would like to buy silver but the gold shops around us do not have any in bars.

A few years ago it was mandatory for cars and trucks to be turned off before refueling.That rule lasted about one week, a so called high so decided to slap the attendant who asked him to shut down his engine. And that was that!

I can tell you,a lot of things have changed in 8 years.

Before everyone goes into panic mode,i don't believe they are going after some one who used an agent because they did not have enough income. It is more about Chinese mafia buying their way into Thailand. The case will be active until some one really high up decides it gets too close and orders it shut down.

We are so blessed now that more people on this planet are dying from being obese versus dying from famine. A truly horrifying milestone. The eating habits of people have changed a lot thru the years but our bodies have not changed in the way it handled food. Our bodies are made to gain as much fat(energy) as possible. This was really needed in times where food was scarce in the off seasons. Same way as many animals live,try to get fat before the winter and hopefully you will survive till spring. We now need to regulate our intake because if we do not ,well just look around you. You can never blame the kids and most times you can not blame the parents. Thailand is now where the West was 50 years ago,a lot of sugary drinks and the food industry is still looking for the sweet spot. Thailand could learn from the West but it looks like that is not happening. The governments are to blame really because they allow the food industry to poison our bodies. Parents have no time or the knowledge to read labels,so they give into their kids demands. Is being obese a disease?I don't think so . Exercise does help to keep you in shape but losing weight thru diet is much easier. Not gaining weight thru diet is even better of course. Fast food is also cheaper then healthy food and it can be picked up on the way home from work. Since governments are bought and paid for by lobbyists all over the world i do not see anything really positive happening soon. Fact is diabetes is on the rise in most countries and being normal is the new skinny. Food industry and the health industry are the cause of loss of life in many cases,sad but true.

Yes and don't believe this is an incident,law abiding people from all over use the legal way but others,they don't really care. Not necessarily very bad people but economic tourists we could call them? It happens all over the world ,not only here.

The burn ban start when your neighbor has something to burn and it ends when you need to burn something. Seems everyone is against the burning that created the smog but nobody seems to "not burn" Stop blaming the useless government and start blaming yourself but of course that does not really hit home by most.

This says a lot about the attitude of so called dog owners here. Why don't they just keep their dog inside their own yard? I do not condone the shooting of the dog but i can understand the anger and frustration of the shooter. How long has that dog been a pest to the neighborhood?

I find that a bit double,i think a lot of them do not want to fight but still support the war. My view is that in a way all Russians are responsible for what is going on. I also understand that there is not much they can do if they indeed are against the war. Like i said ,a bit double.

Thailand maybe now it is time to put your money where your mouth is? Choose sides and stop letting Russians into the country!

Easy to get the owners to be quiet,tell them the car has been damaged and ask them for compensation. Odds are they will deny it was their dog. It is not nice if someone runs willingly over a dog but your wife is not to blame here at all. Maybe the mutt has learned to stay out of the road.

I can agree with most that is set above,violence in any form is not part of love but unfortunately often part of a relation ship. My first marriage ended in disaster,mostly for me. I learned and now have been very happy for many years already. You need to set rules for both parties from the get go but a lot of young people still are learning the hard way. In the west there seems to be a definite shift in the type of abuse and in who is doing the abuse. There is a reason why a lot of Western men do not bother with a relationship anymore. Here we are talking about Thailand of course and a lot of people here accept (physical)abuse as part of a relationship. I really needs to end because there are too many extremes and so called honor killings(loss of face). In the west there is immediate help for abused women,here they are on their own and where can they go with no job and no money? The school system world wide should teach children about what is a healthy relationship and how to achieve that. Start with tackle bullying in the classroom!

A few summer songs,

My first trip to Thailand,was here to make sure a certain person would go back to work on time. Man it was hot!and not only the temperature. Stayed at the Prince Palace,nice place. At night i was told we should go to the Hard rock so we walked out into the street and hailed a cab. Arrived at the Hard rock and had a good time and we went back there for the next few nights,i never even knew there were bars with girls in Thailand. Met my first Thai girl there but that is a different story. The last night we again took a taxi but this driver went the opposite way the ones before did. We told him he was going the wrong way and we knew how to get there so he could not pull a fast one on us. Told us not to worry and just kept driving,we got there fast and the meter price was around half of what we paid the times before. Things are not always what they seem to be.
