  1. I lived in Singapore for over twenty years, and I can assure you it is incredibly safe. However, it's also incredibly expensive. My rather cramped two bedroom apartment now costs $4,500 - $5, 000 a month, which is not good value IMHO. There are limited options to bring down your cost of living if necessary, but that generally requires you to share space with others or look for a cheaper HDB apartment which normally doesn't offer all the luxuries of condos. Even then, the prices for HDB apartments would likely be 2/3 of the regular condo market, so you'll need deep pockets to sustain a decent life there.
  2. When you visit other countries, it is always best to keep your piehole shut so as to ensure that people only guess you're idiotic rather than proving it so clearly.
  3. Perhaps some of you saw the clip of dRumph talking on AirForce 1 on his way back to Washington from Florida....when asked who was going to be in charge of Venezuela, he looked behind him at Little Marco and a few other sycophants, and said "these guys standing behind me". By the surprised look on their faces, it was obvious that dRumph was making stuff up on the spot. Forget about running a country....dRumph couldn't even run a casino!
  4. Nobody seems to care that Trump has committed an international war crime on more than one occasion, not to mention the fact that he doesn't respect the requirements of the US constitution, which forbids acts of war without just cause. For you Trump supporters, please note that another nation possessing a lot of oil is NOT just cause. Trump is CLEARLY insane, and needs to be removed from office for the sake of the planet...he's apparently hell bent on recreating the scenario set out in Orwell's 1984, and that's bad craziness.
  5. This contribution is so absurd, I wonder if it's just a big wind up. You really need to turn off Fox news and get outside, as you have fallen under the spell of the world's greatest con man.
  6. I'm afraid you have two rather large mistakes here: the ad was running on EVERY US TV market, including Fox news. If it wasn't do you think Trump would have even bothered to respond? Secondly, the Ontario premier showed the ad to both Carney and his minders...twice. They had no issue with it at all. I suggest you look for better sources of information, as your contentions are totally incorrect.
  7. It hopes to educate US voters, predominantly from red states, that the demigod of the Repugnant party, Ronnie Raygun, was not a big supporter of tariffs, as they don't help in many situations, such as the one that both countries are currently facing. Hopefully, some voters will realize that Trump is destroying the US economy and alienating their former ally and trading partner.
  8. Must they have a tiny mustache and long painted nails to meet standards?
  9. I wonder if Old Pete will manage to remain sober at the meeting?
  10. I was seventeen for most of 1975, in Grade 13 in Ontario, Canada. As it was the final year before entering university, it was important to get good grades, as acceptance was based on your marks in six grade 13 subjects. Feeling rather confident (arrogant) about my academic abilities, I decided it was a good year to go skiing, so I skipped weeks and weeks of school (with my parent's blessing if my marks were ok) as I had a season's pass to a nearby ski hill. I had four friends of similar mind, so we rotated going to school with a cassette tape recorder - the tape would then be copied on a "double deck" four times, and distributed to each member of our group. Interestingly, listening to my classes alone in my room proved to be a better strategy than attending classes and getting distracted by all the pretty girls. Somehow, we all managed to gain acceptance to university, and I went skiing 63 times that winter, which was a good deal considering that I had paid a grand total of $50 for my season's pass.
  11. I give up...you are unable to see the forest for the trees. Enjoy your freedoms while you can, for they will soon disappear unless you swear allegiance to your new King, who is a 34x convicted felon, an adjudicated sex offender, a compulsive liar and the stupidest person to ever hold the office of President of the USA>
  12. Ok, so it seems you are ok with people who don't share the "new King's" opinions to be silenced from all media. What then happens if people like Kimmel and Colbert create their own channel on the internet....will they be then free to offer their unvarnished opinions, or will they still be subject to the authoritarian tactics employed by the GOP?
  13. Wow, what's it like to celebrate the destruction of the US constitution? Seems as though you are unfamiliar with the first Amendment of the constitution.... "Congress shall make no law... abridging the freedom of speech". So, regardless of whether a guy is funny or not, he has the legal RIGHT to express his opinion. Seemingly, you disagree and feel that taking away freedom of speech is a good decision. Please explain to me, an obvious ignoramus, how taking away the freedom of speech is a "good decision". I'll wait....
  14. Your comment is misguided. I am merely suggesting that people pause before all the facts are in. How does that make me an apologist...your comment is absurd.
  15. As they don't seem to have a credible suspect yet, pray tell why you're so certain this murder is "a generational mistake by the left". You might want to wait until more is known before pronouncing this the world the so called "radical left".
  16. Word on the street up here in the north is that Anutin will be PM for about four months, and then they'll call a general election. Sounds possible, but Anutin's comments about "dirty farangs" don't inspire confidence.
  17. Yagoda, you are clearly in need of therapy, for you seem to prefer supporting stupidity, immorality and irresponsibility over common sense. If Canada chooses to show restraint over the tariffs to our American neighbors, it's not done out of fear as your comments seem to suggest, but rather in hopes of bringing America back to the table. You might be unaware that Canada, the US and Mexico signed a binding trade agreement during Trump's first attempt at the Presidency, but the US has NOT honoured a deal they brokered themselves. So, cut out the gloating over Canada's attempts at sanity, for they can turn off the power to over 5 million US households with the flick of a switch if they choose to do so. More importantly, get some help, for you obviously need it.
  18. I'll tell you one: Bernie Sanders. Bernie is NOT delusional, is NOT egotistical and is NOT corrupt like a certain orange thing. He is a person who SERVES the public, instead of HIMSELF. Ms. Harris is not a cackling idiot...actually, she has more brains in her little baby toe than TACO, who doesn't know what ocean separates the US from Europe. She has a law degree, and served as Attorney General in California, unlike TACO, who went bankrupt six times despite receiving almost a million dollars from his father. As for Gavin Newom, he is an accomplished (Mayor of San Francisco and Governor of California ) person with respect for democracy, unlike the horrible Orange thing with the Mafia attitude, bad combover and the huge cankles.
  19. Putin's economy is based on selling oil - if that stopped through serious US sanctions and other financial moves, Putin would soon have no money for his war machine. Then, the west would not care what Putin says, for he'd be dead, the victim of an open sixth floor window. The compromising material that Vlad has on little Donnie will likely make this scenario near impossible, but....we live in hope.
  20. A friendly police officer told me that they will not be connected to vehicle tax renewals; after one year, they are irrelevant according to my source.
  21. I suspect that you have somehow been too quick to ever allow wisdom to catch up with you. Anti war? Is that why he supports the massacre of Palestinians by way of multi billion dollar payments to Israel every year? Is that why he agreed to have B2 bombers drop weapons on Iran? Is that why he threatened to bomb Moscow, just days ago. Come on...if you believe Trump is anti war, I have a couple of bridges i'd like to sell you.
