  1. i live in bali and i can tell you that the terrorism threat is not a major point of discussion with locals. they are quietly happy that the 3 bombers have been executed and do not talk about it a lot.

in fact, i personally think that its a very safe time to visit bali. the number of undercover police on the ground is phenomenal and you will find that many of the security guards are, in fact, police. most hotels have security checking vehicles with mirrors and dogs, and they also search the cars on the way in.

as for the question about bali being a cheaper alternative than thailand, i would say yes. petrol is .50 cents US a litre, food is cheap, and transportation is cheap. given that the current exchange rate is around 11,000Rp/USD) i think its pretty good value for money.

last night 3 of us went out for dinner in a lovely restaurant. we had drinks, and a lovely meal, and the cost was Rp 100,000 each. under USD10 per person.

    i say you should come!

Were the 3 bombers local? And why would locals want to continue to talk about it, it's bad for tourism.

Anyways, go if you want to because all the bombs i see going off in Thailand are definately killing two hundred tourists at a time. :o When was the last time tourist here was killed by a bomb?

Everyone's entitled to their own views, but for me, I have more faith in the Thai authorities over those that let things like Bali happen and that Marriot in Jakarta.

well the 3 bombers WERE indonesian, so i guess that may make them local.

why would locals NOT talk about it?

and, yes, we are all entitled to their views. thats what the forum is all about - sharing views and ideas. im not saying you are wrong and i am right - not at all.

You sir have absolutely no idea what you are talking about, The Balinese are Hindu and the Bombers were Muslims. Believe me the Balinese if they had a choice would not want to be part of Indonesia.

Bali beats or at least equals everything Thailand has to offer, except the beaches. but wins hands down for cost, architecture, style.and culture..I just got back and it was so nice to jump into a taxi..you get to your destination you pay the small amount then leave a generous tip...he smiles and you smile at him....perfect.....heads up Samui and Phuket.............and yes it was rammed full of tourists.....and regarding bombs in tourist spots in thailand....................that could change very quickly, i am just waiting for it to happen.

oh yes and the girls, they are there if you are looking but not in you face like Thailand.

i fail to see how you came to the conclusion that i have no idea what i am talking about. religion wasnt brought up previously, so i dont know why you suddenly bring up the hindu/muslim thing. living and working in bali, i am fully aware that most Balinese are hindu and the majority of the rest of the country is muslim. how could i not notice that?

sure, some balinese would like to be separated from indonesia, but where would that get them in times of real need (in case there IS another bomb, for example). who would support them then? i think that realistically, if Bali were independent, it wouldnt work. but that is a whole new topic, dont you think?

    sir.

  4. I've got 2 dogs. I selected a large bag of Meaty Bites at Woolworths and was standing in line at the check-out.

A woman behind me asked if I had a dog.

On impulse, I told her that no, I was starting The Meaty Bites Diet again, although I probably shouldn't because I'd ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 25 kgs before I woke in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IV's in both arms.

I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pants pockets with Meaty Bites and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry & that the food is nutritionally complete so I was going to try it again.

I have to mention here that practically everyone in the line was by now enthralled with my story, particularly a guy who was behind her.

Horrified, she asked if I'd ended up in the hospital in that condition because I had been poisoned by the food. I told her no, it was because I'd been sitting in the middle of the road licking my dick and a car hit me.

I thought one guy was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard as he staggered out the door.

Stupid cow...why else would I buy dog food??

  5. .... but now you are going to have many healthy children (all boys!)

Not if his wife reads this and realizes he saved the dogs first :D

:o I was thinking the same....

knowing gerd and his lovely wife, i am sure that the dogs would be first in any case.

to know them is to love them. they are special dogs.

  6. valid complaints are welcome folks, but please dont let this turn into a slanderous nasty piece, as has previously happened.

don, if you are around, the OP is a very respectable individual who would not post on here if it was not warranted.

mods are watching this thread folks, so please stick to facts only.

  7. its a pity that it took an affair with dew to wake him up to the lovely woman he was already with. sometimes we do take those closest to us for granted, but we also have to realise that the grass isnt always greener on the other side.

if this is a true story, i really do hope that this man never forgets what he has.

OK THEN....WHO THE hel_l WAS RUNNING AROUND SAYING THEY WERE DONNA?????

YOU BETTER HAVE BEEN GOOD LOOKING IS ALL I CAN SAY!

    Yes....i am shouting! haha.

  9. guesthouse you have no idea what you are talking about

OPs lack of desire to sleep with fat women is also a product of human evolution

The perception of beauty relates to culture - not evolution. Doh!

    thankyou GuestHouse.

i think that some of you should remember that in some societies, particularly in africa, the bigger the woman, the more sought after she is.

to say that a fat woman will not be desired is absolute rubbish. thats like saying a fat man wont be desired, and i see plenty of them around with bits of fluff hanging off of their arms.

to the OP, i say grow up. there is no harm in looking, but that doesnt mean you have to sleep with every woman who looks at you. sure.....youre handsome....i bet you get told that every day.....i have news for you. its all part of the game.

  10. I'm thinking this topic should have a short shelf life, as it discussing sponsors, moderation, and seems to be getting very close to intolerance of a gay presence on the forum.

youre right IJWT. i think its had its 15 minutes of flame.

    :o

  11. basically fellas, some of us like em muscly, some of us like em skinny, some of us like em black, some of us like em white (like a raw chicken sausage), some of us like em solidly built, some of us like em muscly, some of us like em tall, some of us like em short.

it takes all kinds to make up the world.

in the end, if you are a nice bloke who has confidence (not cockiness) and a great smile, you will win us over.

thats not too hard is it?
