  1. I don't think there's anything Argentinian about El Gaucho except the name. Their steaks are from Australia and USA. https://th.elgaucho.asia/contact/about-us
  2. Roong Reuang Coach run big buses from Mochit to North Pattaya bus station. Dunno how you get from DMK to Mochit, taxi mafia I guess. Or maybe you can order a Bolt or Grab car... https://pattayabus.com/
  3. No worries mate. Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours 🥳
  4. Ah, that explains why you're out of pages.
  5. Not your business. Advise him of the pros and cons, sans faux moralising, and let him make his own decision.
  6. YMMV as the Yanks say. A good buddy of mine had to leave the country to kill his first agent-assisted retirement extension get a new non-O in a neighboring country. AND a 15-minute lecture from the dragon lady at SP Immi 🤣
  7. you're a noob, as evidenced by your simplistic comment re using an agent.
  8. yes I think you've already made it clear that you are a massive wuss 😹
  9. Did that in April 2023 from Bangkok Noi to Wang Po. Hot as hell and took most of the day from door-to-door but it was a heap of fun and I look forward to doing it again soon, although maybe not in the hottest part of the year.
  10. Well I only know because there have been quite a few threads on the subject in the last few months. BritTim, Tod Daniels and our newest mod, DrJack54, have previously provided detailed info about the process. Google "aseannow.com transfer visa to new passport" for more details if you're interested.
  11. If the visa is still valid then yes, you do have to carry both passports. If the visa has been used then Immigration put a stamp in the new passport and hand-write in the details of the original visa.
  12. Visas are not transferable and remain in the old passport.
  13. July 2014 apparently, just before I got back for a five week holiday in Nov/Dec. There was a nasty incident on board one of the trains and the knee-jerk reaction was to ban booze and for whatever reason it's never been rescinded 😥 https://aseannow.com/topic/741167-alcohol-sale-and-drink-will-be-banned-on-all-trains-in-thailand/
  14. I'm still humming Feliz Navidad from breakfast at the local café earlier today 😅
  15. More interesting than the topics you start.
  16. I don't know why they call this lady's food "street food" because it is an actual restaurant according to Wikipedia. She's the daughter of Chinese immigrants and "opened her restaurant in the 1980s and originally served congee and noodle dishes such as kuaitiao khua kai and rat na, building on her mother's recipes. She then gradually expanded her repertoire" https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jay_Fai
  17. Is this the one you were thinking of (third post from Bruno123)? https://aseannow.com/topic/1244172-dental-implant-in-bangkok/
  18. Yes of course, that's why I'm asking the OP 😁
  19. Out of curiosity, did you use the Cambodian e-visa system or did you just rock up at the airport? If the former, would you mind sharing what they stamp into your passport on entry? Pretty please 😀 I haven't been to Cambodia for a while so haven't had the opportunity to see for myself, but I read on another thread that they still put a sticker in your passport even if using the e-visa system.
  20. They told me that they only do 90-day reporting for customers who use their visa renewal services. Yerr I know, you can't renew a visa 😉
  21. Do you use them for other services or just 90 day reporting?
