July 2014 apparently, just before I got back for a five week holiday in Nov/Dec. There was a nasty incident on board one of the trains and the knee-jerk reaction was to ban booze and for whatever reason it's never been rescinded ๐ฅ https://aseannow.com/topic/741167-alcohol-sale-and-drink-will-be-banned-on-all-trains-in-thailand/

Lisa Blackpink Visits 'Jae Fai' Michelin-Starred Street Food Restaurant
Lemsta69 replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
I don't know why they call this lady's food "street food" because it is an actual restaurant according to Wikipedia. She's the daughter of Chinese immigrants and "opened her restaurant in the 1980s and originally served congee and noodle dishes such as kuaitiao khua kai and rat na, building on her mother's recipes. She then gradually expanded her repertoire" https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jay_Fai -

Out of curiosity, did you use the Cambodian e-visa system or did you just rock up at the airport? If the former, would you mind sharing what they stamp into your passport on entry? Pretty please ๐ I haven't been to Cambodia for a while so haven't had the opportunity to see for myself, but I read on another thread that they still put a sticker in your passport even if using the e-visa system.

They told me that they only do 90-day reporting for customers who use their visa renewal services. Yerr I know, you can't renew a visa ๐ -

What is a good online payment with low risk (for Thai people)?
Lemsta69 replied to OneMoreFarang's topic in General Topics
Grab has GrabPay Wallet that seems to have a top-up via banking app option. It's only for Thais so I can only see the first step. -
All jokes aside, his use of the term "quota" was interesting and I was hoping he would provide more details. I only know of one agent who uses this term because I have them as a LINE contact and get regular messages about their capacity for certain visa types. They're Bangkok-based and send the passports up-country. I'm wondering if he is referring to the same agent, or if it's a more widespread thing. The agent "my friend" uses in Pattaya doesn't seem to have such capacity issues, it's a free-for-all over that way as far as I can tell.

TrueMoney. Top-up from bank account as needed, although you only get 20 free top-ups per month and then it's 5 baht per. -
a reliable and not too expensive Visa agent in Pattaya
Lemsta69 replied to Jacques MERIDEUR's topic in Pattaya
I figured that might be the case but I didn't want to have to type, or should I say swipe, out a long-winded reply about the OP clearly starting that Kh. Jacques already has the money in the bank. Oh darn, I just did, thanks Olmate ๐ -
