Not if you live in a province with a rogue Immigration Office. Quite a few posts in other threads in the last few months complaining of having TM47 rejected because they stayed in a hotel for a night or two.

I've encountered the same thing as the OP during the course of my travels up and down the country as a tourist since mid-1997. More often than not, slippery bloody bathroom tiles that'll put you in traction if you're not careful. I have the same issue now that I'm retired and living in a condo in the fancy part of Bangkok. Plus no handrail for getting in and out of the bathtub. Obviously made by the same bloke that Dudley's trying to track down. I hope he gives the guy a right seeing-to when he finds him. PS. I went to the Th. Surawong branch of BBL to try and get a 2nd account as my initial account was opened in Patts. Last year they showed me the old standard list of requirements from their HQ/website. In principle I could have gotten away with CoR from CW and Non-O but I never got around to it. This year they showed me a four-point list, one of which was something about a guarantee letter from my Embassy. Fat chance of the Astrayan embassy helping a cobber out. i was a bit p!ssed off so I didn't take a copy of the actual requirements but they were way too onerous. Pile-driver to crack a peanut kind of thing. It's too damn hot to go bank hopping so I'm kicking the can down the road for a month or two.
