  1. Mate I'm not the one talking about calling the rozzers to grass up the stoner just because it interferes with my navel-gazing.
  2. If there is no official limit on the number of visa exempt entries and no official definition of a tourist, how are they "abusing" the facility? And if there are official limits then please post a link to them.
  3. Oops, didn't see your comment as I was in the middle of swiping my reply. Fat fingers on small phone keyboard is not a good combination.
  4. Ha ha yeah I was I just forgot how to spell it ???? I just pulled my records from Rutnin, it's "opthalmologist". Good luck saying that after a few big Changs.
  5. Oh I thought an opthalmologist was a real eye doctor. I've been seeing one at Rutnin Eye Hospital and she fixed the partial retinal detachment in my right eye a few months back.
  6. There's no point coming to Thailand if you can't break the rules like the locals. Might as well stay in the nanny state all wrapped up in cotton wool.
  7. Supposedly you have to use the specific type of eye drop that the optham...um eye doctor prescribes for you but I've never really delved into the whys and wherefores of that assertion. I just use the Systane Ultra (UD) that my clinic gave me (subsequent re-ups via Lazada natch)
  8. Ah good old K-Bank. I'm moving to them as soon as I get around to making the trek to CW for a residence certificate. It seems like Wise to BBL transfers all happen at 2PM next business day regardless of the reason you choose from the drop-down menu.
  9. Maneerat is ฿12.5K for extension and that includes subsequent 90-day reporting. Naturally you need to either take your PP to their office or courier it to them. I believe they also offer a 'VIP' extension service for ฿14K that means you didn't have to go visit the Jomtien immigration orifice.
  10. I got the 90-day + 12 month package via Maneerat in Dec 2021 then moved into a condo in Bangkok a few months later. Condo office did the TM30 and gave me screenshot. For my first ever TM47 I found a Bangkok-based agent that did it for ฿1000 including pickup and drop-off at nearest BTS station. I sent them the TM30 screencap via LINE and gave them my passport and they did the rest. I asked them to make sure that Immigration had recorded my condo as my 'registered address ' and they said yes they'll do that but tbh I don't know if they understood what the heck I was talking about. At any rate, after the agent-assisted first report I have done my TM47s online.
  11. Not the one I'm currently sitting in.
  12. ice cream cones, are you serious bro? you don't know what a cone is in the context of this discussion about weed, are you like five years old dude? as for meditation, I've got nothing against it but you sound completely pretentious for mentioning it. you're like my vegetarian (ex-)friend who won't shut up about it. you definitely need to head to the balcony and mull up with this stoner...
  13. just head out to the balcony and smash some cones with old mate. probably a faster way to achieve enlightenment then that meditation nonsense.
  14. Why would a small-time operation want to eat the ridiculous merchant fees? All that fraud protection blah blah blah ain't free bubba.
  15. Riding around Jakarta on the back of a gojek is one of life's great thrills. Especially out in Bekasi at peak hour, makes Bangkok look like a kindergarten ????
  16. Uber fees are disgraceful, I've read silly numbers like 30%-50‰. Allegedly Bolt don't charge the drivers a commission (another post on here) but I haven't checked out yet because I'm completely hopeless at speaking Thai ????
  17. here's the ELI5: hosting a website isn't free bubba, it's either ads or a subscription model.
  18. Nonsense, Maneerat are very good. Marriage extensions are a completely different kettle of fish to retirement extensions and you know it so stop spreading lies.
  19. I had a dream last night and an angel told me that God doesn't exist. Plus a whole bunch of other stuff that I'll be including in the book in writing. Watch this space.
  20. This is a good read. The M-16 is a corrupted version of the original AR-15 which was specifically designed for the smaller .223 round. They wanted a weapons system that would inflict more damage to enemy personnel than the existing M-14 which used a higher caliber round. "Wound ballistics" it's called, as described in the article you linked to. https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/1981/06/m-16-a-bureaucratic-horror-story/545153/
  21. Thank Buddha that Thailand isn't going down the European route. They're right to be 'scared' of foreigners and they should do everything they can to not become a basket case like the rest of the Western world.
