  1. Pedestrian crossings in Thailand are dangerous. Very dangerous. Use them at your own risk and and if you do, expect to get cleaned up by a nutter like the dude in the D-Max. Or a copper on a Ducati (RIP the good doctor). There is no "lights in your favor" here mate. It's you and your wits against a very unforgiving environment. I avoid them if I can but if I'm forced to use one I try to be hyper-vigilant so that something like this doesn't happen to me.
  2. If you don't have a local number, how are Thais going to be able to call you? Eg. when KFC are out of OR pieces and it'll be a 20-30 minute wait kha. I'm serious!
  3. Ask PensionBee, they've got a live chat option on their website.
  4. Aren't they making money hand over fist with the nitro? That seemed to be very popular last time I was there.
  5. Ganga is a sacred river in India, not something you smoke to get high... https://www.yogapedia.com/definition/5975/ganga
  6. Won't your mate's insurance company take care of that?
  7. That's the normal way of driving where I'm from (Western Sydney). Amber light means gun it even though the law states you should actually stop if safe to do so. When i used to catch the bus to work it was very common to have to walk around the front of cars who thought better of running the red and ended up with half their car across the 2nd white line. There's two white lines at intersections, you're supposed to stop at the first but nobody in my old area pays the slightest attention to that rule either. You can't say anything to them either or they'll get their brother, their cousin, their uncle and their sister to bash ya! ????
  8. Doesn't matter how long you have lived there, if you live in a bubble (like you do) you only see what you want to see.
  9. Opps, autocorrect fail. I meant "homey" not honey ????
  10. I've never used a Mac so I don't know what the OS is like. I bought an Intel NUC a few years ago when my Clevo gaming laptop died. The NUC was cheaper than a laptop and also under-specced for games hence a good way of weaning myself off of those time suckers. I'm looking at you, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl! Windows 11 is probably as bloated as you say but thankfully on my hardware I don't notice it much. Thanks Samsung NVMe SSD. But running the thing in VM for actual work stuff? That's nuckin' futs mate ????
  11. Lumphini boys should be taking the AOT limo not the SkyTrain ????
  12. Have you not heard of auto-translate? Laz obviously too cheap to pay the license fee to Google.
  13. Meh. You can book a refundable onward flight on your smartphone, or ask for a supervisor and politely state your case/sign waiver etc.
  14. Possibly. Thankfully I found a way to retire early so don't have to worry about that sort of nonsense anymore ????
  15. Yeah they suck big time but I still use Windows 11 at home because it's what I know after working with it since 1990 or so. At work the BSOD and other issues were a great excuse to waste an hour or two at the company's expense. At home they're just freaking annoying! ????
  16. The way that my company introduced us to Office 365 was via demo that was browser-based and all the normal keyboard shortcuts didn't work. I've only ever accessed GSheets via Android or via desktop browser. Is there a stand-alone version of it that I missed?
  17. Fair enough. But I was using Excel 8 hours a day every day, or that's what my timesheet said, so I'd have got nothing done without keyboard shortcuts. They were talking about introducing Office 365 just before I left, I nearly had a bloody heart attack. Try wrangling a 65 column, 300,000 row spreadsheet with just the mouse.
  18. So why are you calling a 60 day visa a 90 day visa? Unless you're trolling. Added to the list. Kthxbye.
  19. Man I hate Google Sheets! I'm an Excel user because of work and can't get anything done without keyboard shortcuts. It pains me when I have to switch to the mouse ????
  20. Thanks also to @Slipfor showing me that you don't need to use an extra set of parantheses around "A14+A15". In the other thread that is. AN website up to its usual tricks ????
  21. Also "fake news", an onward flight ticket will suffice and as we've mentioned that check is usually performed by the airline.
