Is PTSD real or only weak people?
Lemsta69 replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I don't think the OP really wants to learn anything, I think he just wants people to agree with him so he can feel good about being a borderline sociopath ???? -
Thais abroad warned not to buy fresh fruit to bring home
Lemsta69 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
she wasn't a tourist mate, she was a local. she should know about Australia's strict biosecurity rules and if she didn't then the questionnaire she completed before arrival should have given her pause to think about what was in her bags. but some people don't like to learn new things as I found out growing up down under. the only things some people take seriously are the lineup of their footy team and which is faster, a V8 Commy or a V8 Falcon ???? -

'Retirement visa' 800k usage rules..
Lemsta69 replied to Oww's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
It probably wouldn't get read in most cases. You need a very sharp mind and a good memory to give the right info in this branch. That's why I only try and answer questions if nobody smart is awake and it looks like the OP needs a quick answer (eg. posting from a different timezone and it's 3am here). But I'll tell the OP I'm not 100% sure and then tag UJ so he can clean up my mess in the morning ???? I don't tag yourself because I'm not sure if you'd appreciate it, not because I don't rate you work. -
I think soccer is a god-awfully boring sport but I do like the atmosphere of the World Cup, it brings people together. Well except for that debacle in Saffer land with those silly poo-poo-zelas or whatever they're called, I couldn't watch more than a few minutes of that. Plus I was in Australia and we had to suffer that boring old Martin Tyler fella droning on and on ???? However it's now just a money game and that price tag is just silly.

'Retirement visa' 800k usage rules..

As I've found out to my chagrin, don't answer any of these types of questions unless you are 100% sure of the answer. And that includes being aware of the regional variations for some processes. If you don't get it exactly right you're not helping at all, you're hindering and someone like Joe or Jack gotta come clean up your mess ???? -

that horse has been flogged already, time to get a new schtick. -
I think you'll need to post something "offensive" to get a mod's attention.

I think you mean "in italics".

Yes I experienced this myself and that's why Indo isn't a total write-off*. However you can still see the true nature of Islam if you stay long enough or if you aren't a wide-eyed backpacker that thinks the 4:00 am blaring loudspeakers are 'cool'. Or caning young people because they dared to hold hands. Or coming down to JJs in Jakarta and smashing up the place with sticks because they didn't like people having a bit of fun. * except Aceh.

AirBnb host tells me they never make TM30
Lemsta69 replied to daejung's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I haven't experienced it myself but that's what I've read on here over the past few years. It's much easier to extort the fine from the hapless foreigner than it is to go after an absent landlord/property owner/housemaster or whatever your preferred term is. ps. I use the term 'extort' partly in jest but also because I want to fit in here ???? -
Islam is not a religion, it's a a theocracy. There is no separation between Church and State. That's why it's so incredibly dangerous and an affront to freedom. I've never lived under full Islamic rule but I have tasted small doses of it in Indonesia and Malaysia and it's not at all wholesome or healthy. Prior to visiting Indonesia, specifically Jakarta, I had almost zero understanding of Islam so it's not like I went there with prejudices and then became subject to confirmation bias (in case any apologists want to have a go).
