Seems that not only is Thailand miraculously mostly free of Covid-19, you can't really even get infected while inside its borders.

Absolutely its an amazing miracle Thailand!

1 from 70 million population ..... the guy should buy some lottery tickets.

Never mind reality lets keep these daft figures coming plenty of paracetamol available and the young folk will mainly recover and thousands of the oldies always die of pneumonia anyway.

Truly a charade or some might say a load of boll@cks ! and i thought their was a whole government department devoted to stopping the release of false information on line?

  2. If they are practising social distancing how will it work with 30 to 40 kids crammed into tiny classrooms and often a couple of thousand together at assembly ? and packed together in the back of pickups travelling to and from school.

The whole culture of school life is about togetherness not distancing.

Being a teacher in this environment would concern me, especially in the provinces knowing that their is no widespread or routine covid testing happening.

Maybe their are a whole set of well thought out plans for the July opening.

This from Bangkok Post in terms of testing "This month 34,444 people had been tested and only 0.18% of them were positive for Covid-19, he said."

So the monthly testing figures if as above 34k represent a test ratio of O.05 % of 70 million population.

They are congratulating themselves on a zero but having tested only a tiny fraction of 1 percent of the people.

It is truly representative of Thailands normal farcical charade! but not an indication of the true Covid 19 situation in the kingdom........

  4. In Thailand testing for Covid will be totally discouraged and people will just be deemed to have flu or dengue or pneumonia etc ... any deaths will be declared with a cause as an underlying condition and not tested for Covid.

Thailand will declare itself virtually Covid free and encourage normal life to go on and just ignore a rather increased mortality rate and sickness among some of the population.

The generals coffers wont get emptied and they and the other rich Thais have access to immediate superb medical care so they dont worry so much.

A few hundred thousand extra deaths of the peasants, well nothing to see there move along please.

  5. So if the graph provided a few posts back is correct and a total test figure is circa 84k...........

That is circa 0.12 %  just over one eighth of one percent of the population of around 70,000 million.

How the hell is this deemed fit as a representation of the true covid 19 issue in Thailand, its just a total sham and charade........... my figures must be wrong!!

But this has nothing to do with Thailand.  The headline implies that flights are running from Thailand.  In fact all international commercial flights are banned for the whole of May.

This site uses advertising revenue for an income stream which is more profitable with user clicks etc.

Therefore some items border on clickbait and push the limits of accuracy and authenticity along with the daily statements often of factual flatulence from various ministers which do however frequently encourage ridicule, debate and pure disbelief .....hence plenty of clicks! job done.

Because they are not testing so they have really know idea what is out there, they are just stabbing in the dark and hoping for the best. If the figures were real they would be relaxing restrictions more like New Zealand and Australia.

If the Thai numbers were correct most other countries would see it as elimination given the population size of the country.

Spot on, probably less than 0.5 % of the 70 million population tested so the figures released dont reflect the true extent of covid here,  but are just a daily release of flatulence as in most government statements.
