joint venture between some Cambodian tycoons and Bangkok Hospital.
That explains the cost, I wonder if its COVID related, but i guess that would be the same as Thailand and not quickly publicised.
I truly hope with youth on his side he pulls through.

20 thousand pounds roughly 780,000 baht seems an enormous sum for intravenous antibiotics and follow up xrays etc...... diidnt know Bangkok Hospital had a branch in Cambodia.

Do bears sh@t in the woods? is the Pope a catholic?
Are the daily figures released a long way from Thailands Covid reality?

Thailand first needs to participate in the global trend of actually testing a significant number of its people for Covid 19.

Are you fully recovered from the ordeal ...living in Pattaya the biggest brothel in the world and being invited for some fun must of been a shocking experience.

Seems that not only is Thailand miraculously mostly free of Covid-19, you can't really even get infected while inside its borders.
Absolutely its an amazing miracle Thailand!
1 from 70 million population ..... the guy should buy some lottery tickets.
Never mind reality lets keep these daft figures coming plenty of paracetamol available and the young folk will mainly recover and thousands of the oldies always die of pneumonia anyway.
Truly a charade or some might say a load of boll@cks ! and i thought their was a whole government department devoted to stopping the release of false information on line?

And a years holiday in their own fantasy land! for all who think the figures of 2 reflect the true covid 19 situation in the kingdom of Thailand
A recent government announcement following an extensive tour of walking street and environs in Pattaya
seriously proclaimed....... No evidence of prostitution was found!!!!

If they are practising social distancing how will it work with 30 to 40 kids crammed into tiny classrooms and often a couple of thousand together at assembly ? and packed together in the back of pickups travelling to and from school.
The whole culture of school life is about togetherness not distancing.
Being a teacher in this environment would concern me, especially in the provinces knowing that their is no widespread or routine covid testing happening.
Maybe their are a whole set of well thought out plans for the July opening.

Exactly Thailands Covid testing schedule is Thais returning from abroad and a few tests here and their hence the low daily figures.
What about daily testing a thousand or a few hundred people at least in every major city nationwide for a true safer picture and providing free tests for all who require it, this may inspire confidence.
At the moment the testing is miniscule and farcical in relation to the 70 million population and only an incredible optimist would believe it really reflects the true virus situation across the kingdom.

With so much emphasis on loss of face with Thais its surprising that the military rulers sit back and allow numerous charitable collections and food handouts by foreigners to feed their own Thai people in Pattaya.
Seemingly they are totally devoid of shame and compassion? and choose not to complete this task themselves.
Then you realize that locally this is the same family of officialdom that allowed the notorious jetski scam to blatantly rip off tourists for well over twenty years unabated.
When things get back to normal perhaps they would like to show their gratitude to the farang community in Pattaya by permanently relaxing some of the more punitive, absurd and obsolete immigration regulations that make life difficult for so many!

The release of simple additional information would bring transparency and clarity to their covid 19 management methods which seem so miraculously effective.
3 positive from how many of the 70 million population tested yesterday and which provinces were they tested in?

Yes amazing 70 million population not one new case !!!!! Such a true reflection of Covid 19 Thailand fantasy!
With some infected people displaying no outward symptoms of the virus, rapid testing among vulnerable groups has emerged as the best way of identifying virus carriers and stopping them from spreading the pathogen to others
A news item above kind of hinted that you do actually need to test people!

Yes it is of course! but Thailand doesnt have a real one just generals and buddies lording it over the land!
Money for submarines! but they let farang donations from amazing collections by farang media and bar owners do the emergency feeding of the Thais in Pattaya.
Personally I would like to see the Monks nationwide doing the morning rounds but with role reversal where they take packages of food to their own people who have fed them for many years!

I wonder how many people were tested in all the various provinces nationwide yesterday?
To return 7 positives from all the test results of the whole kingdom is almost fantasy territory, unless of course they arent daily testing routinely which would make a mockery of the daily figures.

Have a look at Andrew Drummond .com a journalist ....some of the articles on his site re the government really do highlight the levels of corruption and extortion.

This from Bangkok Post in terms of testing "This month 34,444 people had been tested and only 0.18% of them were positive for Covid-19, he said."
So the monthly testing figures if as above 34k represent a test ratio of O.05 % of 70 million population.
They are congratulating themselves on a zero but having tested only a tiny fraction of 1 percent of the people.
It is truly representative of Thailands normal farcical charade! but not an indication of the true Covid 19 situation in the kingdom........

A previous daily numbers thread had a graph with the numbers tested quoted at 84,000 or roughly 0.12 % of a 70 million population...... simple the less you test the fewer positives.
So as you see Thailand has COVID under control and their is no evidence of prostitutes in Pattaya, both statements from the ministry of delusion.

In Thailand testing for Covid will be totally discouraged and people will just be deemed to have flu or dengue or pneumonia etc ... any deaths will be declared with a cause as an underlying condition and not tested for Covid.
Thailand will declare itself virtually Covid free and encourage normal life to go on and just ignore a rather increased mortality rate and sickness among some of the population.
The generals coffers wont get emptied and they and the other rich Thais have access to immediate superb medical care so they dont worry so much.
A few hundred thousand extra deaths of the peasants, well nothing to see there move along please.

I read there have been over 11,000 deaths so far in 2020 caused by Pneumonia and not including BKK
Interesting where did you read that...... maybe a special covid 19 strain of Pneumonia?

So if the graph provided a few posts back is correct and a total test figure is circa 84k...........
That is circa 0.12 % just over one eighth of one percent of the population of around 70,000 million.
How the hell is this deemed fit as a representation of the true covid 19 issue in Thailand, its just a total sham and charade........... my figures must be wrong!!

But this has nothing to do with Thailand. The headline implies that flights are running from Thailand. In fact all international commercial flights are banned for the whole of May.
This site uses advertising revenue for an income stream which is more profitable with user clicks etc.
Therefore some items border on clickbait and push the limits of accuracy and authenticity along with the daily statements often of factual flatulence from various ministers which do however frequently encourage ridicule, debate and pure disbelief .....hence plenty of clicks! job done.

Just 1 positive out of a population of 70 million....... the daily flatulence from the ministry!
Magical Thailand, next illusion feeding their own people.?
Maybe tomorrow they can go for zero positive from a total of 3 tested nationwide!! with a crowd of generals all back slapping pointing at a huge zero in congratulations.
What a photo op that would be along with some photos of the queueing Thais waiting for a food handout from a group of farangs!!

Because they are not testing so they have really know idea what is out there, they are just stabbing in the dark and hoping for the best. If the figures were real they would be relaxing restrictions more like New Zealand and Australia.
If the Thai numbers were correct most other countries would see it as elimination given the population size of the country.
Spot on, probably less than 0.5 % of the 70 million population tested so the figures released dont reflect the true extent of covid here, but are just a daily release of flatulence as in most government statements.

Or perhaps very limited testing and life goes on people are sick recover and older people are sick and many dont recover and die, very much the norm in rural areas ........ limited routine testing except for returnees from abroad.
Go through the motions of lockdown restrictions but just a charade as far as the real Covid situation and testing goes..............lift the carpet all hands to the brooms.
