You must be one of those old farts WITHOUT any young crumpet.  It certainly comes through in your post.    So, you push a trolley around BigC, then sit on your arse at home, clicking on the dreaded click bait, sharing an opinion that nobody gives a crap about, and thus, enhancing ThaiVisa's ad revenue.  Good job! :clap2:

If I fit the old fart, big c trolley pushing ,sitting on arse replying to click bait profile? why not the tart half my age scenario as well?

In fact don't push a trolley! and shes not half my age!

  2. Its hardly news worthy but Thai Visa wants the clicks for the ad revenue and well done 5 pages already.

Us saps oblige perhaps because TV is a western outlet for sharing our musings on any old dross story at our own convenience.

Must be thousands of rich old farts with young crumpet in Thailand that don't make the news but continually mentioning the ex porn star status seemingly keep this live!

Why don't they do a sensational scoop!

Hundreds of westerners marry ex bar girls half their age and when not drinking or having wild passionate sex or pushing a trolley around big C..............they share opinions on Thai Visa that no one gives a crap about............as long as you don't mention the truth about the political structure and total moral bankruptcy.........  possibly effecting ad revenue.

  3. Been going their for years, initially they had a visa run package but not for last couple of years.

Cheapest rooms register as a player you get a card but don't have to play, are 995 baht with free breakfast buffet coupons and possibly dinner and lunch  if you are charming at check in.

Free beer as mentioned if you sit by a machine and look like you are playing or might do in the next hour or so and if you tip a little baht those beers keep coming. and coming............slightly merry and tempted to gamble best of luck because, well read on.

All games are shall we say far from being random, in fact rig@@d ! with the exception of tiger/dragon a simple even money card game.

Not the place to go expecting to gamble with only lady lucks good mood required to win, you wont.

Great fun place for the guys ................loads of eye candy, good quality massage spa and small gym and a Karaoke Club.

However 7kms from the riverfront and the town so not much to do for more than a night etc ,unless youre  happy  paying 300/400 baht up for the tuk tuk mafia for any trip.

Going solo ok fun for a night, with the wife probably better off at the Avalon or down at a riverfront hotel.

Wi-Fi in the rooms very very sporadic so if your are serious about internet access then you will be very peeved. Although advertised their isn't any longer a functioning swimming pool unless its been rebuilt in the last two months.

All said a little tired and run down but does still have some charm..............

  4. The article written by the Samui times should be sent direct to Kobfart the tourism minister and to General clueless asking for a public response explaining why a tourist is murdered yet the known guilty parties are not brought to justice?

Perhaps Pokémon arrangements are of far more importance!

They issue daily garbage statements about the development of tourism and the safety of visitors to the Kingdom but allow this insanity to continue! Just bewildering!

urged the media not to sensationalize the spate of bomb attacks

The Sun would never do that  :whistling:    https://www.thesun.co.uk/

Unless the Sun has staged the photos it seems a far more in depth report than the offerings on here with more information about Phuket than available in the filtered content we access.

Funny how photos of smiling policemen pointing at the heinous criminal mastermind apprehended ,guilty of opening a bar a bit late and supplying booze and willing  girls to happy punters............so rapidly all over the Thai media.?

  6. Yep a lot of uncaring numb nuts on here with all the sensitivity of sledgehammer!

We don't know what his problems are but clearly his mental health is very dire at the moment.

Depression can grip you like a vice and be just as damaging as a tumour or a car crash and the worst thing is because it doesn't involve surgery, broken bones etc their is little or no empathy, sympathy or understanding.

For all the jokers take a good look in the mirror, be thankful for your relative sanity at the moment and hope that one day you don't see an unbalanced, at the end of the line, on the edge, lost soul staring back at you!

You never know what life will throw your way.

Was at my local immigration this afternoon to do a ninety day report that had been pending for 2 weeks online.

They were aware of the online system still being down but all very relaxed and unconcerned about it in true Thai style.

Great facepalm.gif I hope this doesn't drag out past my online reporting window causing me to go through the in-person reporting routine and associated return taxi fare. I am sure happy my online banking and stock broker sites take the concept of up-time more seriously! Thanks for the feedback.

An update: It finally came back up about 11:00 pm this evening and I managed to get it submitted with a "pending" status. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a positive outcome.

Yes fingers crossed ,because even though I did mine in person on Friday, the online system now back up, has it today still pending 16 days from the first application!

  8. Strange that in a country where defamation laws are so stringent on line that even telling the truth can get you in hot water.......... yet news teams can film at will and photographs appear without any recourse?

If you are accused of a crime your mug shot can be all over the media regardless of innocent or guilty, if you are a bloody mess in the road following an accident you can be all over the evening news bulletin.

Defamation laws abound but in contrast, scant regard for peoples dignity or privacy seems to be totally acceptable.

  9. Lunatics running the asylum!

Their are no small betting shops in every other small suburb street corner and of course their is no prostitution funded by men in uniforms because both would be illegal.

We all know how the country is.........but what grates is the deluded officials in TAT the government and the RTP continually issuing these pointless press releases of denial or intention of policy.

Why don't they do their job or not as the case may be, but foremost just shut the flluccck up about it!.

    Thanks for the info...........Very useful.

I did not think 3 months bank statements were required for a SETV. Can you confirm if they are in Savannakhet or if you submitted them just in case they were required? Similarly, as someone asked above about copies of pages of passport stamps; Were they required or did u submit them just in case?

Can anyone confirm if u can get on the International bus at Mukdahan without a Laos visa and buy it at the bridge as u can at Nakhon Phanom for Thakhek but cannot from Udon Thani for Vientianne?

Yes you can get the Mukdahan bus station to Savannkhet bus station bus and buy your visa at the border which is cheaper if you pay in US dollars can save the price of a meal and a couple of beers............... in the many times I have done this trip this cross border bus always waits.

But as you mentioned the international buses from Khon Kaen and Udon etc do normally require you to have a visa already as they don't want to wait about.

  11. The NGOs may be well meaning, but how many of the Laos or Burmese girls actually want to be saved?

They were probably happily sending a comparative fortune home to their families whilst working in a relatively secure environment.

So are they now going to be offered a place on a Thai government or NGO funded training course to better themselves and go on to a college education free from the worries of taking care of the family? which is their totally ingrained priority in most cases.

really interesting picture above. enlightning... coffee1.gif

No point in a photo at all, but what did you really want to see?

A Thai style bedroom arrangement is pretty standard and did you need to see the bloody remains of his head to feel fully informed!

Perhaps the girlfriend pointing at the bullet hole would have satisfied your need for enlightenment?

  13. Good to know!

So when tourists are being blatantly ripped off in the jetski scam they will assure their safety.

Two tourist police will be assigned to help them to the ATM and safely back across beach road to deposit the money with the thieving scumbags thus avoiding the normal assaults!

Oh what a load of hypocritical nonsense they spout on a daily basis. TIT.

  14. Very tragic, horrific accidents do happen in all countries and we are of course shocked.

But it made me think of an article I read about how ISIS had recently intentionally burnt a 12 year old girl alive, truly unbelievable savagery!

Yet with all the military might in the world at our disposal ,we have still not totally obliterated these sub human deranged lunatics because of all the political posturing!

    Its a strange world.
