Best of luck with that. We sent a teacher to Laos to get the non-Immigrant B visa and he was refused because he didn't have a police clearance. Other people have had the same experience. He returned, we wrote the letter for him to get the police clearance, he got it, returned to Laos and got the Non-immigrant B. Without the Non B, none of the people could get a Teacher's License.
So, do you need it to get the TL, maybe not, but you will have trouble getting a non-B without it.
Which Consulate in Laos did you send them to I guess it was Vientiane?? could a teacher use a Thailand police clearance if they had been here many years?

why dont you do what i done, got a relative to download the credit card form, she used her credit card, and signed the form and sent it by e-mail to me.then i trans.the cost to her.
Fantastic if the passport office and trendy are happy with the email copy of the document and sent to you!
Did you actually use this emailed from with trendy who sent it to Liverpool who accepted it?
Easy solution if they dont want the original ink signature?

Black and white print out is fine. I recently paid for my friend and gave him black and white print outs. Just sign the form on your friends behalf. They will not know if the signature is real or not as they never see the card. I signed the form for my friend but he did not take my card with him. As long as the numbers are all correct and you have your friends permission you will have no problems.
Thanks for the information, sure their are many people paying for a friend in the same situation.

Anyone can pay for your passport. But the payment authority will need to be signed.
You could email your friend the form and they could complete it and post it back to you.
Maybe they will accept a signed email of the form without me sweating on it getting safely back to me in deepest Issan,
or my buddy sends me a copy of the card signature and it magically transposes onto the payment form..............
what a carry on............. much simpler to use my own bank cards!

Enable a virtual cc with your bank. I use SCB and it works internationally. Apply via online banking and it is instant.
So that would give me new set of numbers including security code etc and would be a visa card that could be use online etc for hotels and more to the point to put on a form for trendy in Bkk to send to Liverpool passport office.
These new card details numbers I just store on a phone / paper etc.
Interesting
Thanks

Im hoping that someone has used a friend to help them out with a credit card and knows whether the payment form was actually signed by the friend...................or were the name address etc card details and contact details enough for the payment to be accepted.

Trendy do not take the the payment .
The details are sent to the UK and they take the money there
Thanks for that..............I know, this is what I said if they took the payment locally with a standard card machine life would be easy.

Same card. You need to apply for international use and the account will be unblocked. I can't remember if I did this online/via an ATM, but if you go to a local branch they should be able to sort you out.
Ok so Kasikorn bank, same card debit not credit and without a name on it? if unblocked by staff it will work on the payment form for Liverpool pp office.............. great if that works?

I'm shocked at how much the process differs depending on which country you are in at the time.
Sent from my SM-N9005 using Thaivisa Connect mobile app
Im shocked that the trendy office Bangkok doesnt have a card machine to take the payment locally, or why we cannot simply send the application direct to the passport office with an international bankers draft?

I have an account with Kasikorn and have no problem using the debit card aboard.
The account will be linked to the address you supplied when you opened the account.
Did they actually change your card as in give you a new different one that can be used internationally.
Thanks for the input.

Another question, the application form is in a blue color...............Im presuming you have to get that downloaded in an internet shop with a color printer and that black and white copies will not suffice.

Go to your bank and apply for them to be used abroad. It's easy to do.
If it was easy? I would have no problem going to see them, one is Krungsri, the other Kasikorn, both cards dont have a name just privileged member and are not linked to an address.

To get proof of residence and address . I used a Thai bank statement , that was already written in Thai and English .
Whatever you use for proof, it has to be quite recently dated , with-in the last month or so
My bank statements are by request at a branch and only show my name, but not a street address but dont think they actually need that.
-
I need to replace my passport but only have two Thai Bank debit cards which I believe dont work internationally.
Have looked at the credit card authorisation form from the application, but it has a box for the signature of the card holder.
Can I arrange with a willing, friend not in the Uk or Thailand to use all their credit card details, but they wouldnt be able to sign the form.
Obviously the PP office in Liverpool can email or phone then to verify the authorisation of the card holder.
Has anyone dealt with this problem without a cardholders signature.?
Secondly proof of address, dont actually have a bill in my name or rental contract etc, would a copy of a few hospital cards all showing my name and hospital location here
in Thailand do the trick?
Little rant, before you could simply get a bankers draft ,to alleviate the card problem, now you cannot this service is for Brits in thailand many of us living here, why couldnt they accept
local bank cards or cash at trendy and why would we be expected to have a Uk card if we have lived here long enough to need a new passport??
Advice as always much appreciated.

Vientiane does not require tickets or bank statements.
Thanks Joe , found the links for the Vientienne SETV Visa form download on this site but its dated 2015, I guess that form is still ok?
-
Placed my query in here in hope of the usual swift helpful response.
About to go to Vientianne for a SETV visa.this week.
Is it still the case that they DO NOT require an air ticket or bank statements like Savannakhet.
I do have bank statements but dont want to buy an air ticket I dont use.
So a simple hassle free experience at Vientianne would be great, IF they are still not requesting the extra documents????
Also is there a link to a download for the LASTEST application form from SETV at Vientinne and the visa on arrival form download.
Many thanks in advance for the info and links.

Has anyone had a recent experience of leaving out of Don Muang airport with just one day overstay on an already extended SETV.
Previous reports suggest you wont get a fine or an overstay stamp in your passport, or have things now tightened up? and is the overstay stamp a full page in your passport?

When I had finished all the obvious pursuits of pleasure I would rent a jet ski and take it around to the next bay and sink it and rinse and repeat as many times a s possible and post videos on Thai media outlets!

Only way to stop this continual infestation is to stop food being
soldconsumed on the beaches.Stopping the beach vendors will not stop the problem as beach users will just bring there own food or nip to the the nearest convenience store, or fast food take-away.
If you banned all jet powered small craft from the beach that should stop the infestation of rodents.

Dr. Chavakij Bhoomibunchoo and the rest of the medical staff in the eye department at KK Srinakarind hospital are excellent and best in all the NE region. You can visit him or the other doctors at the night clinic I believe, but there is some registration to do, and if you don't speak Thai you would be best taking someone with you who does.
Didn't know their was a night clinic, daytime the whole outpatients area resembles a crowd scene form Gandhi!
Doctors at KK work at the private hospitals as well so your first hand experience is I am sure a good recommendation.
-
Sinagarind KK university hospital has a comprehensive eye department.
However you will have an awful lot of form filling first and possibly wait a very long time to actually see the specialist.
Well meaning staff and the bill will be minimal but the place is absolutely jam packed Issan style, no air con in waiting areas and lucky to get a seat....... .
The ER department is a much easier option at this hospital.
Alternative is Bangkok hospital in KK, obviously this is an expensive place, however I had a health check their on a promotion price
and the eye check part was very in depth and professional and probably waited 15 mins in air con comfort to see the doctor who was superb and spoke excellent English and provided a full report.
Worth popping in or calling Bkk hospital to ask them how much an initial eye check would be? may not be too bad.
If you just want a check for prescription glasses or contacts or obvious defects you can usually get that for free at many of the Charoen opticians around town .......you know the shops with the girls in tight white uniforms, new well equipt branch one floor up directly above the banks in Central plaza.
Best of luck.

You must be one of those old farts WITHOUT any young crumpet. It certainly comes through in your post. So, you push a trolley around BigC, then sit on your arse at home, clicking on the dreaded click bait, sharing an opinion that nobody gives a crap about, and thus, enhancing ThaiVisa's ad revenue. Good job!
If I fit the old fart, big c trolley pushing ,sitting on arse replying to click bait profile? why not the tart half my age scenario as well?
In fact don't push a trolley! and shes not half my age!
Are police checks required?

Thanks for the input,
Did your guys who were refused without a police check applying for the B visa go to Viientiane or Savanakhet? and if it was required it could be the local Thai police check, without the enormous expense and faffing about for a home country check.
