    Agree, although I guess most pax on long=haul have checked-in baggage, the receipt being stuck on the back of the boarding pass. giving half a chance of keeping it at least until baggage reclaim ! Which is where the warning to show the boarding pass should be, rather than too late at the immigration counter.

    Have witnessed the pedestrian/ motorcycle interface on Soi Buakao a few times. Often as a result of instinctive avoiding action concerning a groping ladygeezer .

    I like Thailand also. What I don't like is all the carnage on the roads. Perhaps you'll happily accept the numbers posted over these so -called "7 deadly days" ? After all it's been going on for so many years now.

    Precisely because they are tourists and are led to believe that Thailand is more "developed" than it is.

    Well. I do mine. simply because I can. I suspect (and have witnessed) others that are just plain incapable . No doubt some of these hide under the excuse of "being able to afford to" or their "time is worth more". Each to their own .

    Except that they DONT wait. All the vehicles are off and running before or on the green light. Social acceptance is that there are gamblers and chancers everywhere on the roads.

    Well. if you're essentially paying Immigration a bribe ( through a 3rd party agent) to obtain a visa, without satisfying the normal monetary requirements. and it's completely endorsed by same Immigration. then why the sham of opening/closing a "dummy" account for 1 hour? For who's benefit exactly ? Who are we fooling ? Hence I wondered if the bank statement/book dates were "doctored" to pass scrutiny ?

    Not fishing. curious as to how these bank accounts are arranged to satisfy the "seasoning" period. Why even bother with the banking part at all unless they provide a false statement etc to cover the necessary paperwork ?

    More of a concern is the malpractice carried out by those banks who willing falsify accounts

    Agree. but am waiting for the knee jerking that would follow any high profile crime/terrorist act that might happen with the discovery that the perp was using such "agent services" to be in the Kingdom.
