  1. Usufructs are normally until you die but they could be written for a period of time .....but why would you........ Different to a lease.
  2. Tax on all income - Yes if you are still considered as tax resident in the UK. Exemption - that would only apply if a DTA is in force with that specific country for that specific type of income.
  3. If you are registered with HMRC as non-resident for tax that is generally correct. However the issue is more about whether you would be taxed by the Thai Revenue service in Thailand especially those bringing in funds earnt in the current calendar year. See the explanation,I think it was parkington's post, on the first page of this thread.
  4. From your comments it sounds like you have never been..........
  5. Very much agreed. Sorry that your not seeing much rain.
  6. Last night central Pattaya just before 8pm there was a very heavy downpour for 30-45 minutes and some continued drizzling later. Was a very heavy "nothing".........
  7. I was curious as did not know you could do this and found this page - https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/store-a-will-with-the-probate-service/how-to-store-a-will-with-the-probate-service which has a contact phone number
  8. Rain in the night/early this morning where I am in Pattaya........
  9. The signs on each side of the road are clear as long as (as another poster mentioned) you remember the actual date. Surprised you have not noticed them before. I don't go there often enough any more to remember which side is which but you don't need a compass (although there is probably an app for that........)
  10. I have never tried to take my own screenshot as it automatically saves a "slip" to your gallery. Unless you haven't turned that on in Settings?
  11. Or get him burnt to death..........
  12. I am not sure what exactly you are suggesting but if it is that the Thai government would take any notice of what AN posters say about this you are living in cloud cuckoo land......... If something else then please do explain........
  13. You must want to play then otherwise you would take simple steps and never see them.........
  14. Ahhh, thanks, did not think of that.
  15. I had a look at the link. Apologies but how would one know what voltage level would apply? Potentially it looks like if most of your usage is overnight and enough of it, it could be a good deal if available? I know I would need to calculate based on usage.
  16. So they are going to have to at least drill a hole in the wall, potentially run new cable to wire it up etc etc., You don't say if condo or house and if first or second floor if a house. If a house, other than ground floor, or a condo, how accessible is the wall where you want the compressor to sit?
  17. is it a brand new install or a replacement for an existing?
  18. Has the OP ( @mike111 )compared prices Big C vs HomePro vs Numchai? If mobile all the stores are very close to each other in Pattaya. Agree with post above. Had a professional install last year from them and they matched an online advertised price for the unit. They will also tell you exactly what is included in the free install in terms of length of runs of ducting and any electrical work. Installation will obviously depend on whether replacement or complete new install, house, condo etc and may need a site visit first - which I insisted on due to potential install issues.
  19. Interesting how the same set of figures get "reported" in different ways. From an article this morning -
  20. Not sure what you are babbling on about. Year on year is frequently used when talking about comparisons vs. the previous period and has been for years.......... Year after year, like day after day, has a completely different meaning.
  21. I also however not for a few years. If anybody does go it would be useful to know if they maintained that price or have increased it, which I would not be at all surprised.
  22. Sorry missed a h out of phyathai - [email protected]
  23. You could also try Pyathai Siracha for possibly a more reasonable price. [email protected] Gavin is their international coordinator
  24. Whenever I have gone and asked SCB in the past for a hard copy of my foreign bank transfer they have provided it without any issue or cost. However these were one offs and not every month. I have also had copies sent by email so perhaps you could contact your bank and try to talk directly to their forex centre and ask them?
