  2. Sometimes, in coversation, things are said as general term of reference or turn of phrase and not intended to be takem literally .
  3. Mostly for show, but in reality to use the car whilst the transfer of ownership etc is processed and new plates issued. Technically cant go out of province or after dark but never heard of that like many things ever enforced.
  4. I have Ivacy, but also used a great pay you go service from Cactus. Can use them month quarter if you just need a temp or of course full year.
  5. As the title is Bangkok, moving tgis to Bangkok forum for localised knowledge.
  6. Good job ! Pleased you were able to resolve it that way. But I would suggest this is an exception and not the general rule and buyers unfortunately fall into this familiar con and not all couriers will handle it as well as your particular office did. Good result.
  7. Reported flame post removed and responses to it.

  11. The UK has braved its coldest night of the year so far, with temperatures dropping below -15C in the Scottish Highlands as snow blanketed parts of London. Thermometers at Kinbrace in the Highlands gave readings of -15.2C overnight on Tuesday, the Met Office said – the lowest the mercury has dropped all year.
  12. This March, many in the UK will still be looking anxiously at their energy bills and thinking twice about switching the heating on. Ofgem‘s energy price cap – the maximum amount average users can be charged – will drop by a massive 23 per cent £4,279 in January to £3,280 in April in response to falling wholesale gas prices. But campaigners warn that imminent changes to the government support measures, introduced last year to tackle soaring domestic energy costs, mean many could actually end up paying more.

  16. Technicality ! Impossible to prove and most certainly unlikely to ever be questioned or enforced.
  17. A friend of mine had to resort to this. In main areas like malls etc it was never an issue but elsewhere proved a real problem. Of course location is key, if you are in a major city compared to a village /small town. Thailand is not really geared for ths and very careful planning was needed due to lack of facilities.[especially if you need the loo)
  18. Stunmbled on this place and its a lovely spot to sit enjoy a cool breeze off the lake whilst sipping Coffee ! in the shade of the tree canopy A few little stalls have the usual Thai food. Its actually a camping area and proves very popular on the weekend. There are Tents already pitched if thats your thing.???? For me its just a great place to chill out for an hour or so.
