The problem is that wherever you go, there you are. Geography and isolation wont help and could make it worse.

This is not a story of complaint it is merely an advisory to others as to what might happen to you and avoid some having a melt down. Bought some itemes via "makroclick" which infact we do monthly and have them delivered. 1 item was totally wrong so we refused that and as we were going into town next day we would collect the right item. Later we discovered another item was wrong but this was our fault. No biggy we would just exchange that when we go to collect the other item. Get to Makro and the item (that was wrongly delivered) was waiting for us on the counter., great. So we then asked to exchange the wrong item purchased. No ! you cant do that. You have to buy the replacement and get a refund for the returning item.Seemed odd but ok, thinking they were going to give me a cash refund.No, then the reams of paperwork followed, that was then taken to "the boss" to countersign, then we would have to wait for the delivery driver to bring us the receipt for the returned item the next day, then the paperwork would be sent to Bangkok and we would get the refund paid into my bank account in 7-14 days. So, if you return something or rxchange something, it seems apart from the 45 minute process, you then have to wait upto 2 weeks to actually be paid. What a time consuming labour intensive process for a simple exchange/refund it should have been. Now you know what to expect. ???? if you need to exchange having bought by the online Mackro Click service.

Everyone is wiser in hindsight, we can only do what we feel is right at the time. Its easy to beat yourself up, but pointless as its history.Best anyone can do is learn from it and adjust going forward, not doing so is the real loss and problem.

Ok, thanks, all I can say is my niece recently finished at Phitlok, and her figures were nowhere even close to those figures. She didnt take anything from the Govt either. She also got herself a part time job to help and not borrow anything. What I found unfair was having finished Uni and got her papers etc, the job she now has pays 12k !! which I think after 4 years work is pitiful.

Whilst I dont doubt you, there seems something off here. she gets 18k a month ? as a student when people working dont even get to 15k ?

That may well be true to your particular office, but as with all things in Thailand, it varies by office and even by person on the day. In my experience they are generally very good and extremely helpful when asked, but thats my office.

Have you checked that its not a Funeral or Wedding related, in which case it will subside in a few days.

Probably as it was (is?) the Military Bank and servicemen moving around didnt get charged out of province fees etc. That was the only reason I opened it awhile back as I travelled around a fair bit and it made sense. ????
